  • k this movie scared the royal shit outta me. . .but i cant stop watching it its just so goddamn addicting!!

  • Yesterday, I recommend this movie to a fella, he say that the movie was a crap and the last scene was pathetic. Now he's in a medieval land.

  • someone has to put this evil dead full movie online!

  • @moppenboek It actually is, but I'm not really shure where (:

  • @aurbina12 weard I cant find it :S and 2 is the best

  • @moppenboek Search it in youtube as the evil dead 2 part 1 hq.

  • @aurbina12 ow now i mean in one movie...

  • not scary to the new generation sadly..effects just don't cut it

  • this must have been scary back than but novadays it looks more like stupid.

  • This my masterpiece horror movin. I looked in a theater

  • i dont know what the diff. is between evil dead and evil dead 2 is? can someone please explain.

  • I saw this movie with my 3 years old nephew and he doesn't stop saying "grovee"

  • one of the best remakes ever

  • Who ever dosent like this movie (i guess the 8 people who disliked it) clearly have no taste in movies and probably like the remakes of actual good horror films.....even though i like the remake of TCM a little......

  • I swallow your soul...

  • Most psychotic trailer I've ever seen :D

  • B movies rock.

  • One night I had a sleepover with two of my best friends… one of which said that she didn’t like horror movies that were before the 2000’s … so we watched Evil Dead and Evil Dead 2 and she loved them…. that shows you how much of an awesome impact the Evil Dead movie’s still have! 

  • man, this has to be one of my all time fav,s. i took my sons mom to this opening ,for our first date..she later had to endure MANY more horror films, festabels, and horror conventions...poor thing,no wonder she left after 14 yrs. !

  • The entire saga is a Masterpiece. Several guys don't understand that Sam Raimi, with a low budget(compared to the budget of today' s movies), had the capacity to create a lot of memorable splatter and scary scenes, gags, brilliant ideas, WITHOUT pumped computer graphics and other modern tricks! Don't forget that the first episode came out in the early 80's!! Sam and his great staff created a unique character, Ash, that became a truly icon in the third episode of the Evil Dead Saga.

  • Hulk Hogan tweeted Who is Bruce Campbell? he should be deported off of this planet. If Bruce Campbell pats you on the back, you would want to list it on your resume

  • Sam Raimi My Favorite Director !

  • @ReturnOfDevilAsh666 -he is WAY cool-met him years ago,at the Fangoria con.i used to stay in the hotel for 2-3 days, durning the con.,and after the con. closed for the day,MANY of the stars would be staying also, and you could talk.i was at the bar,and there was Sam R. Bruce C.,and Reggie B.,...and your truley.we talked about movies for a few (and had a cold beer)-nice people, that loved what they did !

  • what part of this bullshit is a masterpiece? i just watched the first one..it was so fucking lame lol. shouldn't have fell for all the bullshit hype. corny as hell.

  • Groovy

  • lol...

  • what a joke..

  • The good ol days when it was Corn syrup, food dye and latex. Now its all cgi crap.

  • 1:00 YUMMY! :P

  • was the first horror movie I ever saw when I was 6 years old with my dad, lol, maybe that's why I'm so fucked up in my head lol :D

  • @TheEXpothead Same here lol.

  • The best horror masterpiece

  • if u look closely u can see the stick holding the eye at 0:58

  • the begining of this trailer always creeps me out....its the way their voices sound....good movie btw

  • it always makes me laugh when the chick chokes on the eye xD

  • SUCK ON THIS!!!

  • This is a real horror movie, even if it is actually quite funny.

Pretty much all horror movies nowadays are just about some kid who does creepy shit. Yawn.

  • @WalkingTravisty This is not true horror, but definately a horror comedy.

  • Even though it was never meant to be taken seriously its still much better than the shit we have today. Saw and the ring has zero on this classic series.

  • It quite honestly is the only TRUE horror comedy film in my mind. This is the definitive, honest example of the polar hybrid of genres. There were genuinely creepy moments in the film that would then manage to transition seamlessly into hilarious moments of absurdity and slapstick.

Essentially, this is the fucking cream of the crop.

  • KISS YOUR NERVE'S GOODBYE!!!

  • This movie is both hilariously bad and the greatest thing I've ever seen.

  • What the hell. I just saw the 1st evil dead and played the game. Now if this was a sequel then, he would not o back to the damn cabin! I saw the movie and played the game. This is not what happened! False advertising!

  • @CPComputerdog The first 10 minutes of the movie are a remake of the original Evil Dead because they didn't have the copyright on the footage from the first movie. Everything after ash gets attacked by the camera in the morning is Evil Dead II.

  • that eyeball scene never gets not funny

  • How the fuck did I get ere!!!

  • @k3ls0c14ncy2<<<<damn that was hard to remember lmao thanks that makes more sense than what I was thinking hell I was confused lol......

  • hahaha, at the stick on the flying eyeball at 1:00

  • I just thought about it his friends died in part 1 so why the hell did he go out there again refresh my memory I haven't seen this in centuries!

  • @lornettee86

He doesn't go back it's his first time going. It's not really a sequel, it's more like a reboot or a retelling. You couldn't really continue Ash's story from the first movie anyway, even if he did survive he never developed the same kind of confidence the Ash in the second movie did. In the second movie he's a badass demonslayer (or he becomes one anyway), in the first he's a traumatized victim.

  • I really thought it was meant to be a comedy cause I swear I laughed through part 1 and 2 there's nothing scary about it lol.

  • an ALL TIME GREAT!

  • The Evil Dead Trilogy is/are the greatest movie/s ever made

  • I'm sure it's supposed to be humorous or not but the effects are hilarious

  • "groovy" i love the evil dead films well the first 2 anyway the 3rd was a bit meh. If you like horror films i have a facebook profile called "the good horror film guide" where i review films like this and put a load of links to films on there that are sort of hard to find please check it out and reccomend it to your freinds the more people on there the better. Thank you.

  • Mrluckisluck sir......this is the best movie to whach if ur in the mood for both generally creeped out, and hilarious! if you watch this and hate it, you prbably think ur to good for this movie, if so go use ur effing iphone touch to watch justin beiber you stupid f*ck!

  • all ppl listen to me carefully this iz supper FUNINI when ur stoned dont wtach unless stomned

  • How does this movie connect to the first omvie can some one help me?

  • @thewizard747 The film picks up wherethe first left off.

  • best horror film of all time !!!

  • Comment removed

  • @REKONBALL2 this one is supposed to be a remake of the first one, its like a jason movie, they go out to have some fun and end up dying...that's it, at the end he is teleported to the past where the necronomicom has released it demons (army of darkness or evil dead 3)...

  • @exterminatox This Isnt A Remake Of The First, Its A Sequel.

  • @HalloweenOnElm how this can be a sequel? i mean, it doenst follow the events of the first movie

  • @exterminatox

From what I found out about it, Sam Rami originally wanted Evil Dead 2 and Evil Dead 1 as one film but ran out of money to do so. In spite of this (or maybe because of this), I'm going to have to go with remake.

  • Toral B movie.

    "B" is for BEST!!!

  • Evil Dead is a FUCKING MASTERPIECE, and so are its sequels... no doubt.

It is one of the 1980's goldmovies!

  • @SlashedFish they going to make 4 one

  • getting hungry at 0:58 :)

  • cozy cabin alright that thing was creepy before they opened the book of the dead

  • I shitted all my popcorn and soda, when I first saw this back in the day.

  • @spellbinderart You mean you "shat" your popcorn and soda.

  • oh wow look how he gets his head snaped at 1:04

  • I SWALLOW YOUR SOUL!!!!!

  • groovy!

  • Evil Dead series became pure classic of Comedy/Horror genre. Bruce Campbell did a great job. Evil Dead 2 was a good as original and Army of Darkness. You can find many hilarious, entertaining and even shocking scenes. The 80's made awesome comedy/horror films like Evil Dead 1 and 2, House 1 and 2, Elvira Mistress of the Dark etc

  • that just looked retarded

  • i use to love Army of Darkness but that was before i saw Evil Dead and Evil Dead 2

  • well, evil dead 2 is close to imdb's top 250 with 7.9 rating

  • 2nd greatest horror movie ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever

  • @keithlb1 And stupid is comical...

  • I SWEAR i had chills when he said "Dead by Dawn"

  • epic eyeball scene

  • I am just curious and I guess this is a good place to ask. Who believes this is the best Horror/Comedy ever? Just give a thumbs up. I am just curious as to how much people now like this film. Not best horror. Not best comedy. Best horror/comedy. I think it's the best.

  • @JasonsEvilMind The only other movie that rivals this for me is An American Werewolf In London (the original don't even look at the "in Paris" one). Both are fantastic examples of the best blend of horror/comedy I've ever seen. And that's a genre rarely delved into because it is extremely hard to make that marriage work well, not to mention marketable. Not enough characters here for me to get into to much detail what I like about one as opposed to the other though I wish I could.

  • @Gossage54 Oh, I still haven't seen that. I really want to. I've been too busy buying Bergman films and Hitchcock films. I haven't put any money into horror for a while. I need to get me some more horror though. I personally don't like horror/comedy. It's the main thing that destroyed Nightmare and many other horror film series that could have been quite good. But I LOVE Evil Dead 2. Imagination over budget. That's the way it should be. Now use some imagination and a budget.... Possibilities...

  • @JasonsEvilMind I agree, Nightmare should have been left at one film. For me American Werewolf and Evil Dead II are the only two that are credible horror/comedy movies. It is so difficult to meld the two genres effectively it almost always fails. The humor usually will compromise the horror element and produce a disjointed feel. And BTW as for imagination over budget, don't modern horror movies SUCK now! I hate CGI, gimme latex, corn syrup and food dye any day. Kids now don't get it. Shame...

  • @Gossage54 YES!!!!!!! Not only do horror movies suck now but film in general is terrible. I'd rather have films like The Evil Dead, with it's questionable make-up, horrible continuity (Spelling?) and all the other things that could be listed as problems. I'd take all that over the watered down, PG-13, sequels and remakes coming out now. As far as kids not getting it, well I'm only 19 but I know good film when I see it and what we get now is not good. I prefer stuff like Lawrence of Arabia.

  • @Gossage54 Continued : The Godfather Part 1,2, Apocalypse Now, Taxi Driver, 2001 and Chinatown. We used to have great directors like Kubrick, Lean, Hitchcock. Now we have crap directors like Michael Bay and other terrible action directors. Don't even get me started on horror directors now like Marcus Nispel etc.... We don't really have any good horror directors now. All the greats are doing crap (Carpenter etc..) or they aren't even doing horror (Cronenberg). Film is dead.

  • @JasonsEvilMind I am a lover of many films but this is my absolute favorite film of all time. Has been a huge part of my life since before i was old enough to hold memories. One of those very special movies that almost seems like they made just for me. :) This movie is a part of me.

    "I'll swallow your soul!"

  • @Forbiddenevil1986 I'd say my favorite film of all time is still 2001: A Space Odyssey, but Evil Dead 2 does hold a special place for the type of movie it is. If you want a sci-fi film watch 2001: A Space Odyssey. If you want a gangster film watch The Godfather. If you want an adventure film watch Lawrence of Arabia or Raiders of the Lost Ark. If you want a prison film watch The Shawshank Redemption. And if you want a horror/comedy watch Evil Dead 2. At least that's how I feel about it.

  • @JasonsEvilMind Along with BraindDead, Re-animator, Basket Case, and I probably shouldn't throw this in their but it always comes to mind when i think horror/comedy, but Planet Terror as well.

  • @20Freddie12 I don't even really view Planet Terror as a horror/comedy. It's just a horror film that knows it's a horror film. I agree with Re-Animator though. Both Planet Terror and Re-Animator are good movies. Nowhere near my top list of best or favorites, but good. As far as horror/comedies, I don't think anything will ever top Evil Dead 2.

  • @JasonsEvilMind i think braindead is better

  • @DamnTheBeavers Braindead is a horror/comedy classic for sure. I still put Evil Dead 2 over it, but Braindead is very high on my list.

  • @JasonsEvilMind LOOL! I remember this trailer when me and my friend went to see PLATOON. OMG! We all laughed and cried and fell on the floor screamin it was soo funny. As soon as the girl swallowed that eye..it was on!!!

  • Hey! I'll swallow your soul! I'll swallow your soul!!! LOOOOOL! This is the funniest horror movie ever!

  • @JasonsEvilMind thats where your wrong. two words. Redneck Zombies.

  • @JasonsEvilMind Sorry, but no. Shawn of the Dead holds that title.

  • @DII117 Both Evil Dead 2 and Shaun of the Dead are great examples of how to do a horror/comedy. However, I think Evil Dead 2 is better. Shaun of the Dead is more comedy than horror. Edgar Wright puts his characters in horrific situations, but most moments are done for a laugh. Evil Dead 2 truly mixes horror and comedy equally. You might find yourself laughing through most of Evil Dead 2, but it's also very dark. It maintains it's level of humor and horror throughout.

  • @JasonsEvilMind That's one way of looking at it.

  • funny

  • What the fuck did just happend?

  • This movie is great, hah I wish they still made horror films like this. I love the evil dead trilogy. Lol the latest and closest horror film to this would be "Drag me to hell" Thats only because sam raimi produced it hah.

  • @Mandpanda4 I hope he gets around to making Evil Dead 4 soon, I am sick of the wait

  • i never understood what that thing that was moving through the entire forest was? what is it?

  • @crittisizer05 I guess you'll never know. I'll tell you what it isn't though.... it isn't groovy.

  • haha the second one was soo scary and stupid and the same time..i laugh and scream at the same time alot HAHA sometimes i do both

  • @sharba555 Haha :P, yea it does doesn't it.

  • One of my old-school favorites

  • this movie a lot like first one

  • best type of zombies r possessed 1s who talk in demonic voices, y cant all zombies b like this.

  • @localSickened well there are 3 types of zombies used throughout horror films. of course the ones you mentioned, the possesed ones in Evil Dead. The George Romero slow moving ones (Night of the Living Dead, Dawn of the Dead, Day of the Dead), and the modern ones (Resident Evil, 28 Days Later, Dawn of the Dead remake.)

  • @Beltzer0072 Well, one would argue that there are really only TWO types of zombies because the fast moving ones aren't really dead - they're infected... usually a type of "rage" virus or something which actually gives them way more speed and energy than they had prior to being infected. That leaves two... Romero's slow moving zombies (imo, the BEST type) and the demonic ones like in this movie - reanimated and tranformed from some other world evil source. Gee I REALLY NEED TO GET OUT MORE OFTEN!

  • @jzerony well the "fast" ones were used in the remake of Dawn of the Dead so I pretty much just accepted those kind of zombies

  • @Beltzer0072 I dunno.... I watched the remake of Dawn Of The Dead once out of curiosity, and then pretty much just filed it away under "remakes that suck"... Zombie Land (another running zombie movie) I just dismissed altogether. I think the hey days of zombie movies are just about over - the kinds I like, anyway... Romero tries every now and then, but for some reason even HE can't seem to pull it off any more - and HE's the MASTER!!

  • My family and I rented the first Evil Dead recently because apperently it was the one of the scariest movies of it's time. It was so hilarious we're going to rent the second. The effects don't stand up to a modern audience.

  • this is such a ridiculous horror movie that it is funny... seriously whatch the laughing scene .

  • Those movies are so scary... and so insanely stupid at the same time... That's a weird mix... I never know if I should scream or laugh when I watch those movies...

  • oh, those plastic dummy xD

  • why dont you just eccept your fate and join us ashley?! SHUT UP! its like that columbia house ten cds for a penny club. SHUT UP!! im like a literal hulk holgan ill get you brother!! OH GOD SHUT UP!!! its like dom deloise in an all you can eat fish house. ill swallow, your soul!!! hey, its like you were killed by some guy whos first name happends to be dawn, and youll be dead, uh by dawn! THAT IS IT! *bam!*

  • no one was cheering u on lol

  • In soviet russia, chulhu sleeps because he is too afraid to awaken.

  • SWALLOW THIS!!

  • practical effects FTW

  • Comment removed

  • pretty violent gor a trailer

  • I'm still scared of that skull.

    But of course I guess it's natural since I am 11. =/

But I'm a big fan of all three Evil Dead films.

  • i'm almost 11 and my friend is 12, WE LOFAO! (laughed our flocking asses off)

  • I love sam raimi! Evil dead, spiderman, and drag me to hell...those are some awesome movies

  • WORKSHED!!! LOL

  • The chanting that starts at 0:03 What are they saying?

  • OMG!!! I LOVE 80's HORROR MOVIES

  • i find this funny but if i would watch this in 1987 hoho...i'd be scared :D

  • That was freaking hilarious...especially when the eyeball flew into the screaming woman's mouth...priceless

  • Zombie women are so scary.. :(

  • @ExilLarkdanx Dude your Hilarious

  • a masterpiece of horror, one of my all time favorite films

  • My favorite Evil Dead movie. It makes a great comedy, a great horror, a great gore fest, and a fun CGI blast. I personally think this is Sam Raimi's baby. Evil Dead and Army of Darkness were awesome, but nothing comes close to Evil Dead 2. Drag me to hell was pretty awesome, but we definitely need an Evil Dead 4. Come on Raimi, bring us Evil Dead 4!

  • Yup, there lots of stuff cg just can't do. It'll never replace old school effects IMO.

  • looks like a good laugh, anyone seen drag me to hell yet? now that is a good laugh..

  • hell yes it is.I believe Sam Raim directed this and drag me to hell

  • @titanosaurus79

He directed the original Evil Dead, this, and Evil Dead 3 : Army of Darkness.

The original is more serious, whereas the other two are pure comedy. :D

Well, the original was hilarious at times too.

  • i love the original evil dead.I go for more serious horror movies, but i guess the others are okay

  • I saw it . She thought she was going to get away hahaah . But she didn't . The ending was probably the best part of the whole movie .

  • So let me get this straight: Evil Dead 1 and 2 were intended to be horror movies but Army of Darkness (Evil Dead 3) was a comedy? O.o

  • Well, Evil Dead 1 and 2 were kinda comedies, but not purposely.

  • @Jamanprince

No, the original was more geared towards horror films, the second and third and comedy-horror films.

  • HAHAHAHAHAHA!!

  • hahahhaa this trailer make me laugh

  • swallow this!!!!! groovy!

  • Comment removed

  • @Omnisoldier thats right, i wish there was an evilo dead 4

  • @Omnisoldier You should see the original.

  • Trailer make you say WTF!

  • so does the movie :P

  • I love the eyeball for some reason it made me laugh

  • One of the best movie EVER! Why isn't this on imdb's top 250?

  • @Barrymit It's not in IMDB's top 250 because they already filled it with films by great directors like Hitchcock, Lean, Kurosawa, Kubrick, Bergman, Fellini, and so on. That's why it's not in there. It really doesn't compare to a lot of those films. It's one of my personal favorites but I'm not going to sit here and say it matched the brilliance of films like The Seventh Seal or 2001. Evil Dead 2 is fun but not as great as most of the stuff in the top 250 on IMDB. I love it though.

  • @JasonsEvilMind John Carpenter's The Thing is on the list, strangely.

  • @Barrymit Well to be honest The Thing is in my opinion the best horror film ever made. Also in comparison to Evil Dead 2, it has a far better story, acting, visuals, etc... The Thing deserves to be in there. It's a much more intelligent film than most people give it credit for. The Thing is Carpenter's best film and like I said the best horror film of all time. In my opinion one of the best films ever made as well. So for me it deserves it over Evil Dead 2. Again, I love Evil Dead 2 though.

  • uoooooooooohh

  • 1:04 looooooooool

  • i kinda wanted to puke when that fucking eye come to her mouth at 0.59

  • I would of shit my pants if I saw this trailer back in the day.

  • gonna watch this today when im nice and drunk :)

  • This is the best movie trailer I've ever seen!

  • It's called Splatter(or more specifick, splatstick)

  • The film is brilliant. Most people would disagree, but I think Sam Riama is a brilliant director, you can't blame him 'cause this was one of his first flicks to direct, the suspense is one of the best things in the film. And also Bruce Campbell's cheesy lines like "Groovy", and "Hail to the King Baby", (but he says that line in Army of Darkness. :).
