@rocknroll980 Haha! You got that right! You ought to hear them for yourself! It's an experience like no other! I think us pyros are all addicted to the huge thump you feel in your chest when they go off. It's a truly incredible feeling! If you're of age, look into getting your ATF license and make some for yourself. Or, go and buy them. I don't like the ones that are sold because they just aren't loud enough. :) They are definitely loud, just not loud enough to get me excited.
@gothbro111 Aluminum is normally a bad idea, at least in my experience. PVC shatters as well. The best is honestly cardboard because it starts to warp from the heat and expulsion (lift), and if it were to explode, the shrapnel wouldn't be dangerous (it could hurt someone, but there's a slim chance). Just see what fits your needs. ALWAYS bury it at least one foot under LOOSE soil. Loosely lets it expand.

@kristianthomsen123 its supposed to be a hdpe pipe for a mortar, but this looks like a thick cardboard one which work pretty well if there a one time use deal
What kind of mortar are you shooting out of? It looks like a cardboard in the video. Also, how did you stabilize it? It didn't move when it was ignited, so it seemed pretty stable... Did you have it burried? If so, that is a really long 3" mortar
@dafastlane Because they come equipped with flash fuses. Simply looks like paper, but the inside is lined with flash powder so the time you hit the fuse to the time it leaves the tube is almost instantaneous. Personally I add about 3" of cannon fuse to each end just for safety sake.
those are not consumer fireworks we are not allowed to sell them to you unless you have a proper fireworks safty permit for your state or a fire marshal permit, but you never know you might find a hook up down south.
theres 1 pointer i have dont ever hit the fuse after the green 1 it goes off faster than you can blink alot of people got killed because they didnt know how to light them never even lean close to the steel tube a guy got his head blown off because he lit the (fast fuse the 1 with the paper on it) if there isnt a green fuse add 1 or or buy 1 of those rocket launcher kits the 1 with the 2 batteries and those little metal things you put in the back of the rocket those work 2 put in end of fuse ....
exactly, you have to pay attention when lighting, ive heard of cases where there was amature pyros shooting a show and got terminated because they were rushed or wasnt paying attention, very common mistake, at least there is sombody thats serious about illegal fireworks.
Video mics do this experience no justice at all. I've shot some of these when I was younger, but stopped cause people complained about the noise. They are like ten m-80s going off at one time, in the sky, which means the sound travels a much farther distance and usually echos off every nearby hillside. cool video!
USA, shells range from $3-20/ea, all depends how much someone wants to rip you off lol. In my opinion, anything under $8 should be bought. If not for you, then to sell to someone less intelligent than yourself. :)
awesome salute!! where can i get these? people in my neighborhood light these things off by me all. Please let me know where these salutes can be found!
where can you get these? ive gotten things close to em, but i cant understand how so many people have them, lol, none the less its one of the most badass fireworks ever
