@asa99rt you sir are wrong, they are not the same thing. a 2 step is pretty much a rev limiter that creates a misfire at a certain rpm so you can get a certain launch out of it. but in a sense launch control and a 2step is technically the same thing. but an anti lag is when your ignition timing retards at lower boosts and dumps fuel into the exhaust manifolds, which then combusts from the high temp of the exhaust manifolds which keeps the turbo spooling. thats why u see flames out the exhaust.
