  • This is fantastic! I am very familiar with Mr. Neil's work with "Howdy Doody", however, I would like to have heard the audio track of this, where Mr. Neil himself discuss his work with Disney and his teaching talents. Unfortunately, the "copyright Nazis" have taken this opportunity away from us, and that's really sad. RIP, Mr. Neil, you were one truly amazing man never to be forgotten!

  • He came to Disney in 1991 to help out with training...he said Walt had very " rural " humor and did'nt get dirty jokes...although Walt could swear like anyone.

  • I was part of the first graduating class at JKS and had Milt as a teacher. His wealth of knowledge was invaluable. and I treasured the time I learned from him. He will be missed - RIP Milt. Based on what else you have posted, you seem to be an overall Disney fan, so I'm wondering - where did you find this, and who put this together?

  • I was also lucky enought to meet and to get to

know Milt Neil. He was one of the top animators at Disney..he

also helped to develop :Howdy Doody"..but? He didn't care for the cast and crew of

    "HD".

  • That video is very cool I was fortunate to meet Milt at a party in Beverly Hills. Many celebrities there, and he introduced me to all of them, including Joe DiMaggio, Stan Musial, Billy Martin, and Wayne Huizinga (As we walked away, he said "F***in' billionaire!"). What a great guy. Made me a "Howdy Doody" like the one at the end of the vid. Told stories about Disney, playing tennis with Bill Tilden, many more. Great man, great legacy. RIP Milt.

  • I also had Milt as a JKS teacher. This video is a great way to remember him and to pass on at least a little of that lifetime of animation knowledge that passed with him. Thanks!

  • Haha! I had Milt as a teacher too. I learned a lot form him. He was a grouch tho...

  • I had Milt as a teacher myself from JKS back in the late '80s... and I have one of those big Howdy Doody drawings filed away in my archives.

  • having worked for milt and learned from him i can tell you, he was truly the most diversified artist i ever met.he is missed.

  • I think i've spotted a CSNY-fan :)

    awesome video!
