Looks too fatiguing if u can find another solution on the pump action weight and draw speed have to to be taken to consideration I'm no da Vinci but just from looking at the archer looks painful I can see minor flaws that can be fixed other then that seeing the crcb in iron is pretty cool good vid
Thats never 200llbs... You would never be able to cock it so easily if it was that powerful. Watching you cock it I wouls estimate it at being no more than 80llbs.. Still, looks quite cool even though you can't really aim it properly...
@mintwithahole I test it and it was up to 90 kg. It's impossible to cock it with your bare hands, but with the lever that it has, it becomes a lot easier.
They weren't designed to be accurate weapons. You just get about a hundred guys with those things firing once a second and accuracy doesn't matter. Pretty much every piece of dirt they are told to attack is going to get peppered.
Ah metal. Very nice. Probably improved the power considerably. Though improved power means it requires more physical skill to fire (as you seem to have noticed)
maybe it is easier if you didn't use the original cho ko nu trigger system, but one based upon regular crossbows, so you can at least aim. You have to put so much power on this weapon I think it's impossible to aim.
@jagu19 honestly, this weapon is quite accurate historically (no pun intended) in that the originals took around 1.4 seconds a shot. In any case, it must have been at least decently effective as it was used in china for around 1700 years. Don't hate on Zhuge Liang
this one british guy made a repeating crossbow by modifying a cobra self cocking crossbow. look it up, its pretty sweet. he wont give us the design plans though.. errr. but its cool.
¡¡Gracias!! The limbs have been made out with a pair of car leafs. The string is just a steel cable. Actually, I'm having problems with the cable, it frays apart and I have to change it every 15 shots (Full load cartridge). I can't fix it (I'll try to use a bit of bronze and more grease).
I made the bolts with stainless steel pipes. Before working on the cartridge, I used to fire nails XD. I don't know the poundage exactly but it's up to 200lbs as a friend told me.
quisiera una de esas xD

What the hell were you using for bolts?
(That last one sounded like a nail
ricocheting around...) Also, what's
the poundage on that bow? Looks
rather powerful.
