noob question here: why do you have to shilt+left click a lavra/overlord/burrowed unit?

In b.net there is a lag latency so you cant micro your muta as shown in this Video, cause it is made in Singleplayermode.

Just get more mutalisks in your stack. This UMS uses only 7; ideally, you want 11.

@LastWordsFirst actually i think hes talking about using hold position to micro the mutas which will spread the glave wurm instead of attacking 1 marine the mutas will shoot like 2-3 marines.

You can use the 'H' attack on all units, but when you're targeting specific units (workers, dark templars, high templars, etc.), 'A + left click' on the unit during approach is the way to go. I'll cover that in depth in coming vids.

Also, attacking the ground does the same thing as using hold position; tapping 'H' is just easier.

I've actually never heard of using S... just tried it out and it doesn't really seem to work. There's something about hold position that queues up an attack while you're moving. If you tell them to stop, they'll just come to a halt, wait for a half a second, then attack.

Another unit that is best used with hold position is the dragoon. Vultures use 'patrol'.

negative... during Muta micro + stack... when against Mm you wanna use patrol (course during a low or 0 latency game) because u get more range on the worm hits and scattered out attack then Hold position... if you dont think so try it in a skirmish game vs the computer offline you'll see patrol gets the most range when on cliff vs mm or really anything thats how the real pros do it at least :D

Hold position requires more accuracy in direction and demands a better stack. It's also on the H key, which makes it easy to reach.

Patrol is messier, but requires less accuracy. It's better for killing one unit, a very small group of units, or units that don't pose a threat. An example would be harassing SCV's from over a cliff.

I've never heard of either method giving more range. I'm pretty sure that's untrue.

Anyway, if you're going to use one as the all-purpose key it should be H.
