Why does The Devil get such a bad rap? It wasn't the Devil who flooded the world and destroyed Sodom and Gommorah, it was God. Matthew is a parody of the Torah. Where God is tempted/tested by the Jews in the wilderness, Jesus is tempted/tested by the devil when he is in the wilderness.

The apparently very emotional Gethsemane tempt was apparently a very private, emotional affair for Jesus ~ who was the independent witness of this event? @MrSeeker2000 know that none of us are perfect! only jesus is perfect and thats how it will always be! thats y he died for us cuz he knew we would sin and sin again, even tho he came and died for us.. we just have to repent and mean it with all our heart... never loose faith... cuz thats what the devil wants u to do. he wants us to question wether god is real or not but i know he is real. ... its normal for us to have questions cuz we are only human.

Hi @jwardein. Why is it that we keep sinning even doe Jesus died for our sins? Jesus' death saved us spritually but our bodies are still being tempted by satan.Why is that? Jesus couldnt save our physicall self from satans temptations cause His life was cut short.It was not Gods plan for Jesus to die but to build the kingdom of heaven on earth since His seed is not tainted with the original sin. This is why He needs to come back a second time. God Bless

@cristian12melendez What you are saying is not accurate. It was part of God's plan from the very beginning for Jesus to offer himself as a sacrifice for our sins. Throughout the Old Testament there are many prophecies that foretold of the Messiah's coming and what He would do when He came. Isaiah 53 and Psalms 22 are just a few of the scriptures clearly showing the sacrifice that Jesus would make. God's plan was executed precisely as He had willed. Read Mark 8:31-33

Since the time of Jesus, Christians have believed that Jesus came to this world to die on the cross. They have not known the fundamental purpose for which Jesus came as the Messiah and misunderstood the spiritual salvation which he brought us, thinking it to be all that his mission entailed. Jesus had wanted to live and fulfill his destiny, yet due to the people's disbelief in him, he died with a heart full of disappointment.
Jesus came to fulfill God's purpose of creation.

@OceanicMetal Read GENESIS chapters 2+3. Also read REVELATION. Also c what Jesus says about Satan who He calls the father of the lie + also a liar from the beginning. It's clear in GENESIS that Satan doesn't want mankind 2 b in fellowship with God. Remember that Satan (who was called Lucifer) was cast out of Heaven because he wanted 2 b like the Most High. He wanted 2 b worshipped like God!!! Read God's Word. There is plenty of info 2 show who Satan is + how he hates mankind...
