Mp5k has an insane fire rate to go along with damage of each bullet thus it kills faster at close range. Thus if you can handle recoil its better. Just because its overused doesn't mean its better. Learn the mw2 gun stats before ou deem something "the best".

I have to say, UMP is even more powerful if you play HardCore only.. It's one shot kill on most shots foot or w/e. M4 on hardcore usually takes 2shots .. none sence. But you gotta remember in CoD4 P90+ silencer was overpowered soo... every game has a overpowered gun (normally)
A good tip for you noobs... a vector silenced with Stopping power can kill faster than the UMP45 and it has really low recoil....UMP45 with or without stopping power still gets beaten by the vector...just stop bitchin and start usin the vector

@NightGoblin5 ya but the scar does major damage. Can kill in as little as 3 shots without stopping power. It has perfect iron sights, so nobody needs to attach sights to it. The acr, while incredible easy to control, does very little damage. Not that the acr is bad or anything. I think it is a close call between the scar and acr.
@Ellustrium true, but the scar isnt overpowerd since its harder to use for noobs, since you cant just spray with a death laser like the acr and the scavenger perk is basicly mandatory for the scar but i agree that if youre at least average or kinda good at mw2 that the scar is the better choice
The silencer only reduces the range at which the maximum damage may be dealt. After a certain range the weapon's damage drops to its minimum. Therefore, even with a silencer, the UMP45 is able to achieve 3-hit kills at all ranges. The AK-47, TAR-21, and SCAR-H are incapable of doing so, as are all LMGs. The only weapons with more power are sniper rifles and the FAL, with 55-35 damage.

I would agree that the MW2 has an unfair advantage with its 3-shot kill at any distance (which is not true for any other gun I know of). However, at the same time, this doesn't matter much for any one on one duel at long range, because the UMP is a nightmare to hold down the recoil with. Even though the ACR is 4-5 bullets down range, with even an average player he'll win the 1 on 1 before the UMP guy gets one hit marker.

Actually, there has been some sort of bug on the game itself whereas Guns are more efficiently stronger with Silencer. Check out the AK47 with the Silencer, F2000 with a silencer, and M4A1 with a Silencer. Also an RPD with a Silencer and L86 LSW with a silencer.

The ump would be garbage compared to the other smgs if it wasn't that powerful...yes it is always a three hit kill no matter what, 2 hits up close with SP, but if you compare it to the recoilless assualt rifles w/o sp:

It's just everyone uses this, so obviously the few who don't use it BECAUSE it's overpowered, will be outnumbered by the huge amount of people who do use it, which is why not many people actually agree that it's overpowered. Nothing affects the power of the UMP45, not even perks. It's already too powerful and nothing reduces it. However silencers make it seem stronger because noone knows where you are and it feels easier to aim with.
ive noticed that everyone is calling this overpowered. with an ACR u could that. this gun has about 35 damage but has no accuracy. and with range it takes pff abut 15 damage. so if ur good enuf, like me, this guy and lots of other ppl, u can get a 5 bullet kill across the map. u shudnt be called a retard for that.
especially when anyone can use thermal to scan the map or can use danger close and one man army or an assault rifle
well the only reason its overpowered to me is that you can use any perk any attachment and any range. Its still 3 hits. Only 2 hit is headshot or close range stopping power.

The reason I let the Aug HBar and ACR go is you have to lvl up over hallfway to unlock whereas the UMP can be used on every fucking level from 1-70.

@NightGoblin5 ya but the scar does major damage. Can kill in as little as 3 shots without stopping power. It has perfect iron sights, so nobody needs to attach sights to it. The acr, while incredible easy to control, does very little damage. Not that the acr is bad or anything. I think it is a close call between the scar and acr.

MP40: 50-24 (max-min dmg)=Max 5 hit kill
UMP45: 40-35 =Max 3 hit kill
The silencer only reduces the range at which the maximum damage may be dealt. After a certain range the weapon's damage drops to its minimum. Therefore, even with a silencer, the UMP45 is able to achieve 3-hit kills at all ranges. The AK-47, TAR-21, and SCAR-H are incapable of doing so, as are all LMGs. The only weapons with more power are sniper rifles and the FAL, with 55-35 damage.

I would agree that the MW2 has an unfair advantage with its 3-shot kill at any distance (which is not true for any other gun I know of). However, at the same time, this doesn't matter much for any one on one duel at long range, because the UMP is a nightmare to hold down the recoil with. Even though the ACR is 4-5 bullets down range, with even an average player he'll win the 1 on 1 before the UMP guy gets one hit marker.

Actually, there has been some sort of bug on the game itself whereas Guns are more efficiently stronger with Silencer. Check out the AK47 with the Silencer, F2000 with a silencer, and M4A1 with a Silencer. Also an RPD with a Silencer and L86 LSW with a silencer.

@greeksuperman1000 Dude the SCAR-H and the UMP45 have the same fire rate. And think about this, the UMP does slightly higher damage per minute than the ACR but can you full auto the UMP across the map? No.
What I'm getting at, is that you can't bitch about the UMP when there's the OMA/Danger Close combo and Commando in this game. And don't get me started about the assault rifles having no recoil and nearly no sway.

The ump would be garbage compared to the other smgs if it wasn't that powerful...yes it is always a three hit kill no matter what, 2 hits up close with SP, but if you compare it to the recoilless assualt rifles w/o sp:
m4a1 4-5 shot kill
famas 3-4 shot kill
scar h (most overpowered) 3-4 shot kill
acr 4-5 shot kill
It really only has a strong advantage up close or mid range, where there is no noticible recoil. BUT, the ump is retardedly cheap with marathon light wight and commando...

I totally agree on how overpowered this gun is. It's just everyone uses this, so obviously the few who don't use it BECAUSE it's overpowered, will be outnumbered by the huge amount of people who do use it, which is why not many people actually agree that it's overpowered. It's just annoying how it can outgun an assault rifle, and how you can use lightweight with it and still be able to do the same thing.

Nothing affects the power of the UMP45, not even perks. It's already too powerful and nothing reduces it. However silencers make it seem stronger because noone knows where you are and it feels easier to aim with.

ive noticed that everyone is calling this overpowered. with an ACR u could that. this gun has about 35 damage but has no accuracy. and with range it takes pff abut 15 damage. so if ur good enuf, like me, this guy and lots of other ppl, u can get a 5 bullet kill across the map. u shudnt be called a retard for that.
especially when anyone can use thermal to scan the map or can use danger close and one man army or an assault rifle
