hey spitfiremod, i recently bought a new wireless headset and its fully chargerd and when i go to sync it, all it does is all the led lights just flash every second or so when i press the sync button on both console then the headset the console led spins and the headset just continues to flash, what can i do about this....whats wrong with it, the console is the black elite, and whats ur ebay link

question the piece that the charger goes in (the little black box where the charger pin i guess thats what its called is located) if that breaks in some form can it be fixed? is there a replacement part that I can get or is it better to just get another one?

@FamiliarPossessed We have those parts. They can be removed and replaced and they are a somewhat common failure. If you can not see the middle pin in the charging socket or it is pushed in somewhat that may cause the unit to not charge.

hey man I just bought a lot of 15 of these headset 2 of which are the halo 3 limited editions and am wondering if the battery is dead in them where would be the cheapest place to buy new batteries. Thanks! Nice video by the way.

Hi nice video. the leds that show battery power status. are they smd leds ? im thinking in replacing them for blue ones to match my controller and so on. cheers for any reply :)

@petegrimsby  Hi there! I am quite sure they are SMD as many guys replace them and that is mostly what microsoft uses. I am not sure of the size but I would think you could google it and find the SMD size. Email us if you need more info on this subject we can crack open a parts unit and check for you.

@petegrimsby thanks mate. most smd's are the same size well they will be the smallest size they do as its a small headset. just wondering. were do you get your replacement batteries from ? i cant seem to find any on ebay. well not cheap anyway. by the time iv spend buying a broken one and a battery i could of got a new one..lol.. thanks for any replys :)

Got one of you batteries from your site and it works great but had a few issues soldering it to the board. Just a hint, you need a very small gauge solder for the job. I thought I had the size right but apparently not. I got it back together but wound up burning the board in the process. But as I said before the battery is charging none the less. Thanks again for the great fix idea and video.

@FreddyPender To avoid this apply solder to your solder iron only. Our batteries are presoldered so all you need to do is hold them against the cut off stubs coming from the main board and touch them for a second with your pre soldered iron tip. This is plenty of solder as only a very small amount is needed.

@JPIMorgan We just use a small flat bit - type that is commonly used for glasses repair.

@JPIMorgan The official screwdriver is the small tri wing I believe but I have not looked for one this small - my tri wings are all a bit bigger then this headset uses and have not seen this screw on anything else. Thanks.
