Awful film. In order for a weird character to work, you need to have them in a world which is slightly believable, with genuine straight characters/ realistic events to bounce off of. See Wes Anderson movies like Rushmore and The Royal Tenenbaums for how this is properly done. And even Napoleon Dynamite worked, because there was a sense of realism in some people. In this film... everybody was OTT crazy-weird and as a result, even though they had a great cast, it sucked. 3/10
