This commercial was played once, and was pulled the next day when the real video aired, due to much controversy about the real video. It not only aired on MTV, but other major NY stations at the same time ... I remember it .. And love it !
I completely agree with you re the lack of talent, but the reason she's clung to fame and fortune is that she's always employed best songwriters/producers. Like her or hate her (and I can't stand the media-hungry "thing" that she is") that is a fantastic song!
It beats me how your standard everyday you-tuber thinks they are serious enough to set standards for talent, but miraculously, they manage to continue.
Pepsi didn't show the commercial again because of the actual "Like a Prayer" video, which is controversial even by today's standards. Madonna with stigmata, dancing in a field of burning crosses in a bustier isn't exactly an image Pepsi wanted to be associated with.
@nowhereboy So Pepsi is run by Catholics. Who knew?
Besides- "Madonna stigmata" has a nice ring to it, and I think I'm going to try to use it everyday conversation more often. Madonna stigmata...Madonna stigmata..hehehe!
I knew the Gaga blond/brunette combo all at once came from Madonna too. everything she does come from Madonna.

Yeah, this ad aired just once. Many people were recording it on their VCRs that night and that's why you're watching it today.

oh please, if Madonna didnt had any talent she never would have gotten this far. She co wrote this song and have written most of he songs herself.
now todays artists like Britney Spears etc dont have any talent.

Beats me how Madonna has clung to fame and fortune all these years - when you consider that she isn't particularly talented.
