  • Yayyyyy glad to see you back!!!!

  • @Kountrygyrl99 Thanks!!! Glad you are still subscribing!!

  • I just used the GPB ,honey and olive oil deep conditioner tonight. My hair feels great!! thank you!

was wondering how much honey you use in the mix?

  • @njebabe Glad it worked for you!! I use around 1/8 of a cup of honey and olive oil. I have been using avocado oil recently and like that much better than olive oil. Its a little thicker and my hair soaks it up.

  • Hi N.J. Glad you're back, you look beautiful. I deep conditioned my (dry) hair over-night with plastic cap; using Aubrey's Honey Suckle Rose. Wonderful results; my hair was shiny, full of stretch and bounce. You mentioned that your scalp was itchy; it may be the Giovanni leave-in, because their ingredients have changed. another you- tuber said they had to stop using this conditioner because it made their scalp itchy too.

  • @sav8sol Thanks so much for the compliment and the tip!!! I think my scalp is just dry...it gets like this with Kinky Curly and the Giovanni. I just bought the Terraessentials hair wash...it is supposed to detox and moisturize your hair and scalp...I am hoping that will help.

  • I was wondering where you were! Missed you!

  • @thecurlychic Awww...thanks!!!

  • Comments from folks....I can totally relate....I had a co-worker (thankfully African American) in her early 50's who thought it was hilarious....and with no ill intent (at least I think so....hmmm)...decides to say.."Look at all that hair girl...looking like Kizzie"....REALLY....seriously....REALLY? Is that all she could come up with? I know she once wore her hair like this back in the day....so just cut it out. I'm soooo glad that I love my hair...in spite of others viewpoint.

  • @BraaveBird Smh!!! some people just don't know what to say!!! Good for you!!!

  • Hi, you should check out Naptural85's hair channel she uses only natural products nd very simple too! Terressentials, flaxseed gel, coconut oil, Shea butter, and water. Her hair growth is lovely.

  • @abzster53 Yes, love her channel!! I haven't tried her gel or shea butter yet but plan too.

  • So glad that you're back. We missed you! :-) If that's what your Aunt refers to as Buckwheat hair, then I'll take that any day.....OTAY?! Your hair is gorgeous!!!

  • @jazzlvrnCLT LOL...thanks so much!!!

  • Hello love your hair! Try Terressentials I love this stuff. Its a shampoo and conditioner in one, it is soooo moisturizing. Go on their website and try it, my favorite is the Left Coast Lemon scent.

  • @fabjordan40 Thanks so much!! I just purchased it...same scent too!! I'm looking forward to trying it the next time I shampoo.

  • I love your hair. I have "hand in hair syndrome" too! Lol

  • @Shon0823 Thanks!!! Good...so I'm not the only one!!

  • Glad to see you back... Love the hair and your skin is still gorgeous. How was your 40th birthday gathering in South Florida? Also, do you use all-natural make-up? If so, what line(s) would you recommend for women of color? I have been trying to find a collection with warm, beautiful tones that are flattering on dark skin.

  • @MizzNaturalM Thanks so much!! Had a ball in Miami...even though the conference/expo got canceled. My girls and I still planned on going to South Beach regardless. I don't use all natural make up...I haven't found any that I really like. I recommend MAC and Iman as far as pressed powders, blushes and bronzers go. MAC and Urban Decay for eyeshadow colors. I use Victoria's Secret lip gloss and Covergirl, Rimmel or Maybeline lipstick. Hope this helps!! Keep me posted.

  • Love this video. Thanks for posting

  • @Tracey16100 Thanks!!!

  • Welcome back...missed your organinc/natural tips. I'm wigging it for awhile as a protective style but will be checking in on a regular basis.

  • @cocomodiva Thanks!!! I hear that...you should get alot of hair growth from that process. sounds good!

  • Heeey Welcome Back! You've been missed!! lol@buckwheat? Girl..where in the world did she get that from? Please...smh.. water off a ducks back..people will say anything! Your hair is so beautiful I"ve always loved it!

  • @godsflame2 Hey there!!! Thanks!!! Girl, who knows!!! Thanks so much!!!

  • Love it! Your hair has grown beautifully.

  • @kabrinam Thanks Kabrina!!!

  • Welcome back!

  • @kimmy1984 Thanks Kimmy!!

  • i hear alot about cold washing what exactly is that?

  • @diedregoddess So its actually co-washing and it means using conditioner (co) to shampoo your hair instead of shampoo. The notion is that conditioner has some properties that will clean your hair and scalp yet help retain moisture. At some point you should use a good clarifying shampoo followed by a deep conditioner to help remove product build up.

  • Yes, I would like to join you on the challenge as well... I've been deep conditioning overnight for the past 2 weeks since I have been slacking. I ALREADY notice a difference! I will keep watching you to see how it's going for you, thanks for the video!

  • @BeautifybyJill Yay!! Good for you! I think deep conditioning is critical!! You're welcome!!

  • I love your hair. That was my very thought when I saw you at NSU's homecoming. I have to back track, so I can find out the steps. I havent had a perm in several years, but I do get my hair pressed. I'm curious if I have to cut my hair to get started. Huuuuummmm!!!

  • @speechcdm Awww!!! Ok...help me figure out who you are!! Inbox me! I think if you start wearing your hair in twist or braid out your natural curl patter will come back over time. I don't think you need to cut it off.

  • Your hair looks absolutely beautiful.

  • @hnygirl979 Thanks so much!!

  • I'm glad your back and hope to see more videos from you.

  • @galerude Awww...thanks!! I just posted 3 more...hope you like them!

  • Your hair is looking thick and lush. What about using Terressentials?

  • @supercurlygurl7 I just purchased some and got it in the mail!!! I am looking forward to trying for my next shampoo. Stay tuned...I will do a vlog about it.

  • My husband's grandma is like that. She asked me why I'm walking around with that ninny hair????What in the world is that?? I swear, I had to pray before I just kept the conversation moving!

  • @reico37 What!!!! Now that is "special" too!!! Girl...say a prayer!!!

  • real nice twist out with lots of volume. u have beautiful hair

  • @djsugah Thanks so much!!

  • I am so jealous of your hair. I'm starting over. Just got a haircut at the barber a couple days ago, but theres still some perm left. So I gotta go back and get a low ceaser. But you inspire me to definately not give up and give in this time.

  • @ANickyLaArtista Yay!! Don't give up...you can do it!! Thanks!!

  • Buckwheat? NO.

  • No VO5 isn't natural. It's similar to Suave and Hello Hydration Conditioners. You should Google or look on YouTube for the Apple Cider Rinse. I believe that would be a good natural clarifier for your scalp and hair to keep strictly natural.

  • Glad to see you back. Try VO5 Clarifying Conditioner, I use the green bottle (can't remember the name). It's cheap and gets the job done. Bagging at night I believe is a pre-poo. Otherwise you will get damp or mushy hair (I know I do). But deep conditioning once a week is my saving grace.

  • @futurehi08 Thanks for the tips!!! Question...Do you know if V05 all natural? That's what makes me hesitant to use it. I agree with you on the bagging technique...it is better for deep conditioning and pre-poos. My hair was a mushy mess the last time I did it on my twists. I just need to be more diligent about wrapping my hair up or sleeping on a satin pillow case and keeping my hair in protective styles.

  • Good video..thanks for posting...I use the the Come Clean shampoo also, but I just bought the Shea Moisture shampoo...and I like it...it made my hair really soft but I don't know if it is a clarifier. Luv your hair. :-)

  • @caribb6877 I like the Shea Moisture shampoo too. I don't think it is a clarifying shampoo, but it would probably work well as a substitute for the co-wash. Thanks so much!!!

  • Buckwheat? Really? I have to give her the side-eye. Girl your hair is absolutely beautiful!!!!! She's just jealous! So good to see you back! Missed your natural videos!

  • @frenchiedee Lol...I know I gave her the side eye too!! Thanks so much!! Glad to be back...thanks for subbing!!

  • Glad to see you back!

  • @ShanaJaye Thanks!!!

  • That come clean shampoo is the best out there for getting rid of buildup. It is a clarifying shampoo. Not sure if Yes to Carrots is. Your hair looks great. The plastic baggie is a great thing. I swear by it. Hint for you is if you sleep with the bagggie and don't want to hear that swish sound every time you move your head, try tying a scarf around it and then put on a satin bonnet. I tie 2 scarfs and then put the satin bonnet.

  • @lilsisa427 I agree...love Come Clean! The Yes To Carrots I mentioned Chime had recommended is actually a conditioner. Thanks for the tips...gonna try that.

  • My family called me nappyheaded when I first went natural so I felt Your pain when Your aunt called You buckwheat, buckwheat wished his hair was as fly as Yours....

  • @ConnectedToMeNow Oh no!!! People can be so cruel and ignorant!! thanks mama! Know you are fly too!!!

  • Alaffia's Coconut Black Soap Shampoo is awesome! It's my #1. #2 for me is Jason's Biotin Shampoo, and I have found a #3 yet, but two are fine for now.

  • @anwalker3592 Never heard of Alaffia...gonna check that out too. Definitely getting the Biotin Shampoo and some hair vitamins.

  • I'm sooo glad you're back. Your big chop video (and in particular your candor about your impetus) inspired me to take the plunge 3 months ago and I have not looked back since. Know that you are a "hair crush" and a hair inspiration for so many of us. Thanks for the blessings and the positivity your videos always bring.

  • @jamellahellis Awww...thanks!!! So glad to be an inspiration to others like people were to me!!! Peace and blessings!!

  • Welcome back....of course I'm on board I will be one year natural at the end of next month I'm looking forward to my hair growing longer

  • @lachelle225 Yay!!! Thanks!! We can do this...I know I have to be more diligent about my hair care and step outside the box to try different protective styles. What are you going to do?

  • Great to have you back sister. You look beautiful as usual....

  • @naturallyholistic Thanks so much!!!

  • OMG you look GORGEOUS!! Buckwheat wrong person????

  • @lilallnatural1 Thanks so much!!!! That's what I said too!!!

  • @naturalJourney we missssssssssssssseeeeeeeeedddddddd u!

  • @PRINCESSLUV22 Awww...thanks!! Missed being here!

  • Beautiful.

  • @IHeartRoti1 Thanks so much!!

  • Hey bella, I'll inbox you, or if you'd like you can add me to yahoo or skype or msn.

  • @marshabranch Ok...please inbox me...I don't have any of those other things you mentioned.

  • @NaturalJourney Sent it already.

  • Buckwheat....???....nothing but death would've kept me from snapping.

  • @lovelydikki LOL...I did give her a couple of pieces of my mind, but I think my facial expression really sent the message home!!

  • The Vo5 Conditioners are great for co washing, apple cider vinagar is great for gettig rid of buildup, the huetiful hair steamer is great for helping your deep conditioner penetrate the hair strands and protective stlyes are amazing for retaining length. I've been natural for 14mths and these things among other things have worked for me. Your hair is so beautiful! & I love your channel!

  • @wsasi07 Great tips!!! I'm a little hesitant about the V05 though since its not natural, but I definitely am going to try the ACV and look into the huetiful hair steamer. I need some inspiration on the protective styles...off to channel stalk some more...lol!! Thanks so much for your kind words and for subbing!!!

  • Pray for you Auntie ...lol! SMH! You look great.

  • @splinta24 Lol...right!!! Thanks so much!!!

  • Buckwheat.. lol Where did that come from? Love your hair. Im doing a chunky twist out while Im watching this vid.

  • @InnerBeauty2006 LOL...who knows!!! Thanks so much!! Nice...you gonna post a video about it?

  • Glad to see you back! How did that Miami meet up thing go?

  • @missmarisela2006 Thanks!!! I believe it was canceled...

  • Buckwheat? I think not! You look beautiful and your hair is gorgeous. Keep doing your thing and God bless.

  • @11zeaky LOL...thanks so much!!!! As long as God gives me strength I plan on it!!! God bless you too!!

  • You are a beautiful woman and spirit, glad to see your face again!! :o}

  • @MsMsgodiva Thanks so much!!!!

  • Haha, you said you stalk her page. I stalk yours. I love your hair. I love your skin. And I love your spirt. My hair is also very similar to yours. I'm enjoying taking care of my hair. I used the AO as well, never used the GPB, but I used the Honeysuckle Rose. I just started using Everyday Shea (lavender) by Alafia. Value for money. I usually add honey and Avocado oil to mine.

  • @marshabranch LOL...thanks so much!!! We all have pages we stalk!! Try the GPB if you get a chance...really nice! I had a wonderful sister at church today give me some Honeysuckle Rose shampoo...so sweet of her! I haven't tried the conditioner though. I'm going to try the avocado oil at some point too. I've never heard of Alafia...going to have to look into that.

  • @NaturalJourney The conditioner is really nice. I thought you used that. Or was it the White Camellia that you used? I've not heard many people saying they like the HSR shampoo, they say it is drying, but I can tell you this, the absolute best and most moisturizing shampoo I have used to date, is the Shea Moisture Raw Shea Moisture Retention Shampoo. And my remedy for your dry hair, try some Ghee prepoos. If you're interested, I can walk you through the process.

  • @marshabranch I love Shea Moisture products...are you talking about the Coconut and hibiscus shampoo with the orange label? I use that from time to time too. When you say Ghee...do you mean the clarified butter stuff? Yes, let me know what you do. About the HSR, that's what the sister at church said too...that is was drying to her hair. I might not even try it now.

  • So nice to see you back on YT. You look so good!! Love the hair!!

  • @MsChanteJ72 Thanks so much!!! You are too kind!!

  • Your hair looks gorgeous!

  • @kristenjdec Awww...thanks sweetie!!!

  • Wow you hair is so healthy and beautiful. I am really interested in retaining length and growing hair longer. I struggle with shedding. I do more deep conditioning making sure each strand was covered in it. sometimes family can say mean and hurtful things but we have been so brainwashed into what beauty is. so many nonblacks have approached me complimenting my hair yet some of my own people give me the side eye. We naturals will support each other.
