no i like players who actually show there value. gibson came from the youth system. he did not cost 20 plus million. then united fans have the cheek to moan about debts.
the debts were not caused by the club rather the owners who put the club into debt. United are probably the most successful club in the world, they win competitions every year and they can afford to pay 20M for a player with all the prize money. Gibson is 22 and he has done nothing to earn a place in the team. His passing is poor but one goal in a few matches is the only reason hes in the team. Give him a couple years to mature and he'll end up playing the Scholes role

Thats because when left backs attack, defensive midfielders like Anderson stay back to cover for them so the defence isnt vulnerable to the counter attack. Anderson rarely finds himself inside the opposition box. You can see that once he is in the attacking role he scores goals and makes assist when he played for Porto

he has to be played in that position to get the most of of him. When Nani plays on the right wing he plays better than on the left. Thats how it is. Rooney is better upfront than on thewings.Also hes played 100 games yes but he hasnt been given a consistent run in the team. One game every 2 or 3 weeks isnt going to help maintain form.Hes still 21 so theres time for him to improve. Gibson is shit. From what i can see you only value a player who scores goals.Anderson works hard and makes assists.

the debts were not caused by the club rather the owners who put the club into debt. United are probably the most successful club in the world, they win competitions every year and they can afford to pay 20M for a player with all the prize money. Gibson is 22 and he has done nothing to earn a place in the team. His passing is poor but one goal in a few matches is the only reason hes in the team. He cant get place in the Ireland team and he did nothing when he went out on loan.

@0l5ah if you've actually watched Darron Gibson, you'd know he's got a lot to work on to get to Anderson's level. Albeit, he's got a rocket strike, but when he's in a position to make a tackle(something central midfielders HAVE to do, even if its a Scholesy challenge) he goes in as if he's scared. Anderson has shown his worth on many occasions. He's not a goal scoring midfielder, he threads the game like Carrick.

@0l5ah Keane, Carrick, Butt, Veron etc. didnt exactly shower United in goals. They're hard working, possession-style midfielders. Anderson was used by Porto as an attacking mid but for United he's been restricted to a fairly defensive role, sitting behind the main attack, looking to keep possession. His finishing is shit but he's strong, hard working, can win the ball back and has great passing, he's never going to be like Rooney or Ronaldo with tons of goals but he's a good playmaker

@0l5ah Scholes is a legend, he's top quality in any position. I guarantee if he was played behind the front man for a season he'd pitch in double figures again like the good old days, but he's too important to the build up play to be played further forward. I think Anderson is good enough to make the squad and he pops up with a cheeky skill now and again, but he's still very young (younger than Gibson I believe). Give him a couple years to mature and he'll end up playing the Scholes role

Someone said Anderson was rubbish because he'd only scored one goal from midfield, I used Torres as an example that top players can go through a bad spell, but it doesn't mean they're not top players anymore.
Anderson is a good player, and Torres is a very good player.
