  • I was terrified of dropping the bike, had nightmares about it. Couldn't believe how easy it was. But I did have a good teacher on my CBT.

    Thanks for vid.

  • @vixstar46 I was really nervous about it too. I'd refuse without someone the other side in case I dropped it. A good teacher definitely makes all the difference :)

  • Great info

  • @diemfdie50 Thank you :)

  • I failed miserably at this on my CBT with a CG125 LOL. Felt like such a loser...

  • @oli333 Haha, it took me a while too. Luckily I had time to practice beforehand :P

  • love center stands use them all the time

  • @67kneil That's quite interesting. Any reason you prefer it?

  • are center stands better than regular kickstands? was that an add on or stock?

  • @MikeEm5 No, for everyday use you'd just use the side stand. This is mostly for maintenance and storage etc.

  • yep, thats how you do it

most people dont know how to use the back muscles to put it on the stand rather try to lift it up onto it.

  • @sunnyjason It's true :)

  • You can tell you have a tourer as it has a center stand ;) I have a side stand only but a great stand at home called an Abba stand (look it up)

  • @Kaivalaginiviti Lol, yeah :P ..I've seen those stands before. Good buy.

  • @extreme601 In all seriousness I bet you're loving the bigger bike, and I am a weeny bit jealous of comfy riser bars...clip ons can be too much sometimes. You definitely need to get some fairing lowers for that bike, it looks sooo much sportier and nicer IMHO with them.

Off out with a ride with my local SV650 gang tomorrow, out to red lodge/newmarket way for a bimble :)

    Have fun and stay safe

  • @Kaivalaginiviti It is definitely very good. Love the faired look, not a priority at the moment unfortunately though. Lots of more important things I need to buy :P

Always nice to go out for a ride!

    Thanks, you too!

  • The thing that is most important to remember about putting the bike on the centre stand is ITS ALL IN THE FOOT. little to no strain should be on your arms. :)

  • @GuitarMasterGraeme Absolutely right :)

  • Since ur taking requests on help vids i was wondering if u could do a vid on how to unlock a ladys bike from a bike rack without completely mangling the key and leaving her in an even worse situation than she was in b4 she asked for help? I hear ur an expert on this so thought id ask ;P ;P

  • @woodenchairs Hahahaha, I feel so bad about that, yet I still can never stop laughing every time you mention it :P Her skeletal remains are probably still there clutching the key hanging loosely from that (quite frankly never to be opened again) bike lock..

  • Did the new chain fix your problems?

  • @daffee360 Completely, yes :)

  • this task is much more fun with my big ass concours 14 (GTR1400) but after awhile u get use to it.

  • @02wheels I'll bet it is. I think that deserves a 'congratulations'! :)

  • You getting a top box for that bike, I can see there is a holder at the back of the bike :D

  • @PaperWeight231 It came with one, I'll put it on if I ever need it :)

  • That's how I dropped my bike...putting it on the center stand....the damn VFR is so heavy.

  • @ToastToGo That's actually why I was a little bit nervous doing it on mine for the first time. I'd be so unhappy if I dropped it. Ever find a new mirror for the VFR?

  • @extreme601 I actually ordered a pair from Taiwan. They haven't arrived just yet.

  • i find it harder getting my bike off the centre stand but luckily I only have a Ybr 125 so i just sit on my bike and bump it off the stand

  • @springfeildshopper Try turning the bars slightly away from you and pushing it off from the side. That way the bike will lean towards you and you can hold it up :)

  • Hi will you be doing a walkaround? :)

  • @ReverseAndReplay Yeah, can do.

  • @extreme601 :) thank you. :) :) :) :)

  • Please could you make a tutorial for putting the bike on its side stand, been riding 34 years now and never been taught it mate.

  • @AnotherCopierOfM13 Lol, you should have skipped it. I know it's ridiculously simple but I get asked so often I needed to end it.

  • people struggle!? took me a couple of trys on the ped but i had it after that!

  • @curlyblakeybiker Yeah it's not difficult once you get it right.

  • Such a simple thing buts its amazing how many people can't/don't know the technique!

  • @imanupstart1 It's true, I get asked lots to demonstrate this. Now I have a bike with one I thought I might as well :P

  • i had trouble doing this with a moped once...

  • @JumpinPakFlash Once you do it once, you'll never struggle again.

  • @extreme601 Was during my CBT test...wasnt confident at all. Very nervous, was bricking it most of the time.

  • @JumpinPakFlash That's fine, it's what CBTs are for, building up confidence with bikes :)

  • Jeez... oh well you made they vid by request.

  • @vChipGivesThemSight I apologise for the incredible simplicity of this video. People ask lots :P
