Retirement matches in pro wrestling are an inside joke. The wrestlers know that it's a marketing strategy. Promoters have always found ways to bring guys back into the fold after a few weeks of absence for the losing wrestler.
Look at Terry Funk. There's been more retirement matches for him than there are cities in Texas.

Like it matters.
Retirement matches in pro wrestling are an inside joke. The wrestlers know that it's a marketing strategy. Promoters have always found ways to bring guys back into the fold after a few weeks of absence for the losing wrestler.
Look at Terry Funk. There's been more retirement matches for him than there are cities in Texas.
This could be the end of Shawn's career, but I doubt it.
