When I lived in McArthur Park, there were alot of Mexicans living in the park cause they couldn't afford housing since they were not making a LIVING WAGE. Compared to back at home, it was substantial, but not enough to afford an $850 a month apartment or a $500 ricans come with their shit ready - they got a support system before they come over here. Thus housing, food, a job is not a problem.

I was almost homeless after the divorce two years ago and was so scared to rent because i didn't have a good credit history, i didn't have an income, i didn't have much money for food either. But i was forced to leave the house because it was a foreclosure. I had a car crash that woke me up. Today, I can easily pay $800 a month, I've opened my own home office and work from home and going back to school to get a Psychology degree.

I'm conflicted on doing things like this in some cases. I've been homeless before so I know how much every little bit(almost literally) helps. But I've had a few run ins where they take advantage of your kindness. I was kind of angry at this one woman years ago, my mom sent me to the store to get something and this woman came to me and started crying about money, i told her the money wasn't mine and she instantly stopped saying "oh ok" and moved on to the next person. watch out

So she could start a job tomorrow, but she chooses not to because she'll be homeless again on Saturday and have to give it up, "so whats the point" well I would have to say that any job is better than no job, and even if the job sucks it can open doors to bigger and better things. If you do your job good you get recognition more times than most. Yes, homelessness occurs, but the duration of the homeless period is on the individual.

I was almost homeless after the divorce two years ago and was so scared to rent because i didn't have a good credit history, i didn't have an income, i didn't have much money for food either. But i was forced to leave the house because it was a foreclosure. I had a car crash that woke me up. Today, I can easily pay $800 a month, I've opened my own home office and work from home and going back to school to get a Psychology degree.
