The Phenom IIs were not meant to go against the i7s, dumb ass. They were meant to compete with the Q8xxx series, for AMD fans it does what it needs to for cheap. But, as soon as you start overclocking an Intel processor, the Intel processors beat the AMD processors. But, for stock performance, the Phenom IIs win. I am buying a Q8400, so don't say I am a fan boy, because I am not (I overclock, so it will better once it hits 3.0 GHz).

You still haven't answered my questions! HyperTransport is A LOT better in theory. Conroe and the chipsets of the same generation closed the gap between off-die and on-die memory controller. The advantage of on-die memory controller almost ceased to exist when Conroe hit the streets. Are AMD's quad core processors better in a way that it's the obvious choice? Theory and synthetic benchmarks are not valid.
