I fish pickerel all the time.....and usually try to get them on top water lures......I can usually get them to take any top water lure I throw....... up here where I live they will go after pretty much anything you offer..........
ive never seen a pickeral like that and i live near the Bay of Quinte ontario where 10-16 lb pickeral are reg caught. I dont even see a dorsal fin. Maybe its just a language thing. We call those Pike Pickeral or what Americans generally call Walleye is what we call Pickeral.
