Flare hooked her food in a piece of fence and her foot would need to be amputated. But dogs do better with mid femur amputation so they are not bumping the leg holding it out to the side. Flare is still the fastest Border Collie out of all 12 of my Border Collies. She also still jumps on the top of things, goes over a fence, and does the same things she did before the amputation.
