I think the problem with some of the people making comments is the main female characters in Blood Ties are not silicone-bloated sub-human Objects with no personality whatsoever. Maybe you should stick to Maxim Magazine.

Blood Ties came way before that one...so it's not copying anyone. But this promo is rather cheesy (I didn't make it - I found it!) and doesn't show BT at it's best (and it was!)

The promo isn't that great - granted. It's cheesy and cheeply done (again, not made by me - simply found online!)
Blood Ties was SO much better than this promo could ever hope to be...the chemistry between the 3 leads was some of the most sizzling ever seen on screen! And the use of actual mythology always fascinated me.
The promo does - yes. Blood Ties was never stupid...it wasn't the most expensive production and special effects weren't all that - but it was the relationship between the characters and the original, believeable, sizzling love triangle that kept us all watching.
I checked at my favorite store and season1 dvd set with 4 discs should be out on june 23 for about 20.00 . season 2 is only a couple of months behind.
Unfortunately yes, there were only 22 episodes. Fans lobbied hard for another season...but no one would listen to us and sadly.,.it doesn't look likely for any more...unless we can convince them to do a TV movie to finish things off properly and give fans closure - maybe...

To answer the question, Blood Ties coming back doesn't look likely, unfortunately...it's just been too long now and nothing has been done or said in months...*sob* it's so unfair!!
There are still rumors here and there. The Canadian television industry works a bit differently then the American industry, so a bit of time between seasons isn't as big of a deal. One of the biggest things holding back any official statement is the fact that the woman that plays Coreen is now working on Flash Gordon. As well, the most likely people to pick up the show (Space/CTV) are having some financial issues right now and do not think that home grown shows are 'financially viable'...
I'm pretty sure that Gina Holden (Corren)'s show Flash Gordon got cancelled awhile ago. Though she is now working on Harpers Island. Kyle has been busy with various (yet to be released) movies....it's only natural the cast would move on and do other work - they have a living to make as well after all. And I think the financial situation in TV stations etc is pretty much the same world over...sadly enough. It's still being re-run on Living in the UK though.
Oh no! I didn't realize that Flash Gordon was cancelled. I am not a fan, so I guess I am a bit behind the times. And yeah, the actors couldn't just sit around in limbo and wait to see if the show would be renewed, but they have all said that they would really try to come back (especially Kyle Schmid). I just wish that someone would pick it up again. Especially after Moonlight was canceled.

Because that's how the idiots at Lifetime aired it in the US I guess. Thankfully they aired it as one whole season here, so when we got the DVD, we got all 22 episodes in one. No extra's though...

I still watch some TV, but Blood Ties was a great hour of drama and scifi! Lifetime sucks...fur sure! Will and Grace is their only saving grace...I don't watch the network at all because of what they did to Blood Ties.

It SHOULD NOT have been released on Lifetime in the US first. A show based after a Canadian book, with Canadian actors set in CANADA should have been aired IN Canada on a Canadian network first. Or they could have AT LEAST simulcast it. It had the potential to become the next Forever Knight. The problem was that the Canadians watched it on the internet after it was shown in the US and before it came to Canada, so not as many people watched the first run on Space and City. Plus Lifetime sucks...

Depends which country you're from! In the US they split the whole first season into 2 - so episodes 'Blood Price' - 'Norman' were season 1 and then episodes 'DOA' - 'Deep Dark' were season 2.
Unfortunately the complete 22 episodes of the show are all that exist...Lifetime (stupidly)chose not to renew and they couldn't find another buyer...so the show is in limbo as far as we know. I'd still kill to get it back!
I kind of agree with that...though I have a thing for both of them (as well as Jasper and Emmett - oh face it, I have a thing for vampires!! :p) But...Henry will always be my favourite and I miss him!! :(
There has been no official news from Insight (the studios that created and own Blood Ties) so...we don't really know. The fact that the last episode was shot almost 2 years ago doesn't sound too hopeful - but fans are still fighting for maybe a TV movie to at least bring closure for our beloved characters! Whilst there is no official word there is still a tiny glimmer of hope...maybe (I fool myself sometimes anyway!)
Plus, there was no "love triangle". Just two guys crushing on one girl. The writers wrecked the show. Mike's character was great too, in many ways. Both guys were for their own reasons. If it could have some passion like Bill n Sookie, holy heck, it would be the talk of all networks. It needs a SOLID love story/relationship between the other stuff and at times better dialog. Schmid plays Henry so well. The guy can act!!
If Twilighter's must know, the main characters of Twilight came from the same characters written in 2001, the Sookie Stackhouse book series. Only it was far more raunchy and explicit sex. Hard to believe Stephenie Meyer never read them. Twilight was published in 2005 and she's Mormon (so are her vampires, for the most part). I liked Twilight better then "True Blood" (Sookie Stackhouse series). I like Henry's character & the guy who plays him more than Edward/Pattinson...so far.
Hi. TB is not BT. It's really raunchy and crude, F-bombs all the time. The ONLY thing it has over this show is the vamp/human love story (Bill n Sookie) are SMOLDERING. In BT, there was absolutely NO romance/love scenes only Henry flirting w/ Vic. I like BT because Vicky is not helpless or uneducated, like Bella n Sookie are, but vulnerable due to her eyes n Vicky needs a shrink cuz she's incapable of having a relationship...with anyone.
Also, another good episode of Blood Ties was when that sicko priest got ahold of Henry, had him chained...in that basement. I don't want to spoil it for others who've not seen it. That and the first episode, and a few others, were really good.
If Vicky and Henry love each other, then there should be more between them. He can leave the area. I don't blame him. Maybe she should go after him, spend some time with him, they come back or move on but either they have a love connection or they don't. I don't blame Mike for getting fed up either. There is no "love triangle". It's just two guys interested in a woman with issues and bad writers. She could be much more interesting if the writers & author would help her.
There needs to be a lot more REAL dialog and depth for Vickie with Henry. Aside from Henry making it interesting, I found that coroner lady really made it interesting in subtle ways, she was open minded/trusting. Vic's casework made life more interesting for the coroner lady maybe. Coreen's cool, when her hair isn't styled ridiculously like it was in those freaky pig tail things.
Charmed is right, Kyle played Henry, perfectly and did make the role his own. I really liked the very first episode and maybe two or three others. I've seen almost all of them. I don't know if the people in charge of the show have more control over it then the writer allows or what, but it's like the writers couldn't figure out who Vickie should be with and there was a huge need for far more romance and better dialog.

Henry was wearing the Edward/Twilight gray coat (where he walks up the hill and woods with Bella near the school) before Edward did. In the episodes where Henry is in the comic book shop. Both of the coats were VERY SIMILAR, only Blood Ties had it first.
I'm not sure if the Lifetime website is still airing them on their website - I never visit anymore after they took the show away from us - making the biggest mistake!! You can download all episodes from itunes though. The DVD box set of season 1 is available in the UK and coming soon to the USA!
It amazes me how this show still gains new fans every day and yet they gave up on it far too soon!!
The scene at 1:02.03, where Henry is feeding from Vicki, is episode 2 Blood Price part 2 - he was injured by the demon and needed blood to heal quicker.
He is hot (if you're talking about Kyle!) - but more than that he's an amazing actor who nailed the role of Henry, making it all his own and I would give anything to see him portray Henry Fitzroy again!!
Blood Ties consists of one season - as I said before it was filmed 2006/2007 and the last episode originally aired here late Jan 2008. Living TV have re-aired the entire season a few times this year. And many loyal fans are still fighting to get the show back or at least a made for TV movie to give us fans closure after the heart breaking last episode! In the US it was on the Lifetime channel...they killed it and then decided not to purchase further seasons. The Canadian production company who created the show haven't given up on it yet though!! It was filmed 2006/2007, the last episode aired in the US in Dec 2007.
Where did you see this and where did you get this? Either this is the origional vid or its a fan creation. The voice doing the commentary isn't quite right and the Blood Ties title isn't the same.. it makes me wonder in a good way!

Depends where you live! They're out already in the UK (have been since Jan) and they're supposed to be out this summer/fall in the US - but no official word yet, although they are listed on amazon to let you know when they are available. Hopefully the US version will have the extra's we didn't get in the UK - so there's my excuse to buy another copy!!

Blood Ties was SO much better than this promo could ever hope to be...the chemistry between the 3 leads was some of the most sizzling ever seen on screen! And the use of actual mythology always fascinated me.

The promo does - yes. Blood Ties was never stupid...it wasn't the most expensive production and special effects weren't all that - but it was the relationship between the characters and the original, believeable, sizzling love triangle that kept us all watching.
But, if you don't like - don't watch!

I checked at my favorite store and season1 dvd set with 4 discs should be out on june 23 for about 20.00 . season 2 is only a couple of months behind.

There are still rumors here and there. The Canadian television industry works a bit differently then the American industry, so a bit of time between seasons isn't as big of a deal. One of the biggest things holding back any official statement is the fact that the woman that plays Coreen is now working on Flash Gordon. As well, the most likely people to pick up the show (Space/CTV) are having some financial issues right now and do not think that home grown shows are 'financially viable'...

I'm pretty sure that Gina Holden (Corren)'s show Flash Gordon got cancelled awhile ago. Though she is now working on Harpers Island. Kyle has been busy with various (yet to be released) movies....it's only natural the cast would move on and do other work - they have a living to make as well after all. And I think the financial situation in TV stations etc is pretty much the same world over...sadly enough. It's still being re-run on Living in the UK though.

Oh no! I didn't realize that Flash Gordon was cancelled. I am not a fan, so I guess I am a bit behind the times. And yeah, the actors couldn't just sit around in limbo and wait to see if the show would be renewed, but they have all said that they would really try to come back (especially Kyle Schmid). I just wish that someone would pick it up again. Especially after Moonlight was canceled.
Yeah, times are tough everywhere. They have actually gotten rid of the 6pm news on some channels here!

Because that's how the idiots at Lifetime aired it in the US I guess. Thankfully they aired it as one whole season here, so when we got the DVD, we got all 22 episodes in one. No extra's though...
And yeah, I miss the show too - I barely watch any TV since they stole this from me!

I still watch some TV, but Blood Ties was a great hour of drama and scifi! Lifetime sucks...fur sure! Will and Grace is their only saving grace...I don't watch the network at all because of what they did to Blood Ties.

Yeah, that bugs me too. It's one of the best TV shows, still my favourite and yet no one seems to know about it!! I know we can say it's our own private little treasure...but doesn't that say a lot for the way Lifetime handled it in the US? They hardly promoted it if no one has heard of it - given the chance this show could fly, and they killed it - idiots!!

It SHOULD NOT have been released on Lifetime in the US first. A show based after a Canadian book, with Canadian actors set in CANADA should have been aired IN Canada on a Canadian network first. Or they could have AT LEAST simulcast it. It had the potential to become the next Forever Knight. The problem was that the Canadians watched it on the internet after it was shown in the US and before it came to Canada, so not as many people watched the first run on Space and City. Plus Lifetime sucks...

I adore Twilight as well...and Edward is gorgeous...(as is Jasper :p) But...Henry Fitzroy remains the most beautiful and my favourite vampire!!

Depends which country you're from! In the US they split the whole first season into 2 - so episodes 'Blood Price' - 'Norman' were season 1 and then episodes 'DOA' - 'Deep Dark' were season 2.
Unfortunately the complete 22 episodes of the show are all that exist...Lifetime (stupidly)chose not to renew and they couldn't find another buyer...so the show is in limbo as far as we know. I'd still kill to get it back!

There has been no official news from Insight (the studios that created and own Blood Ties) so...we don't really know. The fact that the last episode was shot almost 2 years ago doesn't sound too hopeful - but fans are still fighting for maybe a TV movie to at least bring closure for our beloved characters! Whilst there is no official word there is still a tiny glimmer of hope...maybe (I fool myself sometimes anyway!)

Plus, there was no "love triangle". Just two guys crushing on one girl. The writers wrecked the show. Mike's character was great too, in many ways. Both guys were for their own reasons. If it could have some passion like Bill n Sookie, holy heck, it would be the talk of all networks. It needs a SOLID love story/relationship between the other stuff and at times better dialog. Schmid plays Henry so well. The guy can act!!

If Twilighter's must know, the main characters of Twilight came from the same characters written in 2001, the Sookie Stackhouse book series. Only it was far more raunchy and explicit sex. Hard to believe Stephenie Meyer never read them. Twilight was published in 2005 and she's Mormon (so are her vampires, for the most part). I liked Twilight better then "True Blood" (Sookie Stackhouse series). I like Henry's character & the guy who plays him more than Edward/Pattinson...so far.

Hi. TB is not BT. It's really raunchy and crude, F-bombs all the time. The ONLY thing it has over this show is the vamp/human love story (Bill n Sookie) are SMOLDERING. In BT, there was absolutely NO romance/love scenes only Henry flirting w/ Vic. I like BT because Vicky is not helpless or uneducated, like Bella n Sookie are, but vulnerable due to her eyes n Vicky needs a shrink cuz she's incapable of having a relationship...with anyone.

Also, another good episode of Blood Ties was when that sicko priest got ahold of Henry, had him chained...in that basement. I don't want to spoil it for others who've not seen it. That and the first episode, and a few others, were really good.

If Vicky and Henry love each other, then there should be more between them. He can leave the area. I don't blame him. Maybe she should go after him, spend some time with him, they come back or move on but either they have a love connection or they don't. I don't blame Mike for getting fed up either. There is no "love triangle". It's just two guys interested in a woman with issues and bad writers. She could be much more interesting if the writers & author would help her.

There needs to be a lot more REAL dialog and depth for Vickie with Henry. Aside from Henry making it interesting, I found that coroner lady really made it interesting in subtle ways, she was open minded/trusting. Vic's casework made life more interesting for the coroner lady maybe. Coreen's cool, when her hair isn't styled ridiculously like it was in those freaky pig tail things.

Charmed is right, Kyle played Henry, perfectly and did make the role his own. I really liked the very first episode and maybe two or three others. I've seen almost all of them. I don't know if the people in charge of the show have more control over it then the writer allows or what, but it's like the writers couldn't figure out who Vickie should be with and there was a huge need for far more romance and better dialog.

Henry was wearing the Edward/Twilight gray coat (where he walks up the hill and woods with Bella near the school) before Edward did. In the episodes where Henry is in the comic book shop. Both of the coats were VERY SIMILAR, only Blood Ties had it first.

I'm not sure if the Lifetime website is still airing them on their website - I never visit anymore after they took the show away from us - making the biggest mistake!! You can download all episodes from itunes though. The DVD box set of season 1 is available in the UK and coming soon to the USA!
It amazes me how this show still gains new fans every day and yet they gave up on it far too soon!!

The scene at 1:02.03, where Henry is feeding from Vicki, is episode 2 Blood Price part 2 - he was injured by the demon and needed blood to heal quicker.

Blood Ties consists of one season - as I said before it was filmed 2006/2007 and the last episode originally aired here late Jan 2008. Living TV have re-aired the entire season a few times this year. And many loyal fans are still fighting to get the show back or at least a made for TV movie to give us fans closure after the heart breaking last episode! Blood ties awas first shown in 2007, it can now be brought on DVD (Which is something I have done and I just got the whole box set today).
For the channel it was on, depends on where you live. I'm in the UK, and I found it on Living.

In the US it was on the Lifetime channel...they killed it and then decided not to purchase further seasons. The Canadian production company who created the show haven't given up on it yet though!! It was filmed 2006/2007, the last episode aired in the US in Dec 2007.

The story is similar, but better, because they love, and then vampires are more human: in blood ties Vicky does not know choose between his ex boyfriend and Henry,she is very confusedthen,furthermore, there is too much black magic, then the story does not seem real.

I know the film studios that created Blood Ties haven't given up, and I know many fans (muself included) who hasn't given up - we've done many things to save this show and I would love for us to succeed, because I miss Blood Ties SO much it's depressing! Depends where you live! They're out already in the UK (have been since Jan) and they're supposed to be out this summer/fall in the US - but no official word yet, although they are listed on amazon to let you know when they are available. Hopefully the US version will have the extra's we didn't get in the UK - so there's my excuse to buy another copy!!
