  • Sounds like the seals around the piston are worn out. The seals that go on the piston have v-like shapes and create a nice tight fit in the cylinder. If worn out you'll get leaking and very little pressure. I found a complete rebuild kit for $125 and tore the entire machine down, cleaned everything and replaced all seals, o-rings, etc. and it works like new. Later!

  • I have one of thoose machine from 1982 , but I cant use it, the water is driping out when it starts to heating up. Cant it be the packing that is dry?

  • Btw I found it in a flea market for about 10 EUR

  • You got a deal, put an overhaul kit in or pay some one (cost about $200USD) and you will have a $400 if it is in good shape. I would keep it. It will last forever and makes ideal espresso.

  • can i get a steam wand with a ball joint for this, and can i make micro foam with this

  • I screwed up btw in this one - Greg's online name is

    MoGogear.
