This really was an amazing run through (especially hearing all the not-so commonly heard dialogue and such), and now I miss having something to watch through, although I'm working through your newer version of the KQVII playthrough (and I guess I could watch the minimum path videos).
Are you intending on long-playing through any of the other, earlier King's Quests? None of them beat KQVI by far, but it would be interesting to see what you know about those as well!

YES! King Graham's voice is the same as in V. And I think Rosella sounded the same as she does in VII, I'm not sure about Valanice.

I've wondered sometimes if Graham and company were always left to winder, or if Alex wrote them letters or something.

Oh you have no idea. The video, audio, soundtrack, and MIDI sound effects were all separate. The music was from queststudios, so I had to find ways to loop the repeating songs in a way that sounded natural. There were about 90 separate video recordings fused together to fake a continuous run. Took about three months in total I think.
It was all a challenge I gave myself just to see if I could make the ultimate run. I missed some things, but overall it turned out well. Thanks for watching!
You don't actually get more from sneaking into the castle the other way. In fact, I only see you getting the bad ending if you try that. This is definitely the best ending possible.

I noticed you missed some stuff though, but it involved some tedious feats to do so (such as climbing the cliffs of logic with a single breath mint to give to the "old lady" even though inefficient to progressing the story). I've always been curious about the breath mint and other genie disguises.
It's funny. A long time ago, I had "KQ6 Mint" listed in my future projects, in which I planned to show all the times you can offer a mint to the genie. Then someone else made the video before I could, so I took the idea off the list. Now I can't find the video anymore, so I presume he took it down.
So I might go ahead and make it myself at some point.
If you can take the time to do the "KQ6 Mint" project I would really appreciate it. By the way, just watched your KQ5 speedrun and it was an entertaining commentary. Maybe I should consider playing the other games featured in your channel.
I was obviously making a concerted effort to click on as much as possible throughout the playthrough, so not picking up obvious objects like the feather and the lamp would be rather awkward.
Also, the main difference between the two paths is inside the Castle, and the music in the upstairs hallway isn't part of the Soundtrack.
Lastly, this project took several months to make, and I'm kind of ready to move on to something else.
That was awesome. I would very much like to download the whole run. If you wouldn't mind I would like to use this playtrough as resource material for making poop videos.
