Ok, after a semi-intense search I've found many variations on what mix of nationalities Ms. Cates is supposed to be. Jewish, Filipino, Chinese, Russian, and Japanese in various combinations, depending on who you believe, is what I've found. The only reason I remember her supposed Japanese heritage in that she is a big hit in Japan because of it. Anyway, I really don't care much about her nationality of origin. I think that she's a godess from heaven... in fact, I'm sure of it.
