  • Hello I am 24 years old and am REALLY considering becoming a vegan..How should I start? I'm a lil confused as to how to begin?...This video has inspired me even more!!

  • you can make gluten(sp) using wheat flour and water. and that's really inexpensive

  • Actually these days, it's getting more embarrassing to be eating meat than not.For kids especially - it's becoming much more "hip" to be vegan than not... Things are changing for the better, especially for kids! Nice that people like you are paving the way towards a better place. :)

It's pathetic, children are so concerned with fitting in, this behaviour is of course trained in them, because it is this sheep behaviour which holds the entire system up. Without the fear of being ridiculed, or loosing your job, or friends. This world would be transformed into a utopia

  • Come on now no eggs or cheese milk dairy ur vegen stuff is slow as he'll if ur son wats a good old PB and J then give him one do u remember wat it was like to eat one and I'm healthy as can be I run 4 1/2 miles every other day and just had dairy and pork as far as religen goes idk bout wat ever ur god says for u.   • @ynotlivi ((NEWSFLASH)) MOST PEANUT BUTTER AND JELLY IS VEGAN FRIENDLY! I also never said he couldn't have PB&J, I was saying that he would settle for pb&j is he had to take a vegan lunch. And yes, to each his own.

  • Just to let you know yahcna the first cookies i've made that have come out perfect were oatmeal cookies and it was vegan style even without any eggs and butter. With applesauce as substitution for butter. They came out really good actually :) Even my friends liked them lol.

  • @dragonlion5161 Mm..yes! applesauce is an excellent egg replacer in many baking ingredients. 

  • Thanks so much. I am going to try them with my children this week. I might make a video if I get a chance if not a will post a picture collage video of how it turned out.

  • We are slowly going to veganism but my daughter loves vegetables in fact most of the time that's all she will eat as strange as it sounds.

  • @dragonlion5161 You are so lucky! There are many children that don't like their veggies because their caretakers got them off to a not so healthy start. I was actually a kid that didn't like meat, I would eat my veggies and only the crust off a drumstick. Sounds like you've got a vegan in the making!

  • Oh Wow!! Can you please share that Red Velvet Cupcake Recipe with me please. I am pregnant and i have been craving Red Velvet Cake. I can make vegan chocolate cake but that is it. I have yet to master white cake as well. Slowly but surely i will get around to it. Thanks for the info on the video. Lots of us need this kind of support. I know with my family over the years I have just learned that if I dont make a big deal then they wont make a big deal.

  • @Ejahi Congrats Sis! I used 1 cup soymilk/1 tsp apple cider vinegar/1 1/4 cup whole wheat pastry flour/1 cup vegan sugar/1 Tbsp. Chatfield's carob (cocoa) powder/1/2 tsp. aluminum free baking powder/1/2 tsp. baking soda/ 1/2 tsp. salt/ 1/3 cup canola oil/ 2 Tbsp. India Tree Vegan Red Food Coloring/2 tsp. vanilla extract/ 1/4 tsp. almond extract

  • @Ejahi ICING: 1/2 cup Spectrum Non-hydrongenated shortening/ 1/2 cup Earth Balance Vegan Butter/ 3 1/2 cup Whole Earth confectioner's sugar/ 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract/ 1/2 cup almond milk.

    1).Preheat the oven to 350 2.)Mix wet ingredients and let sit for 2 min. 3.) Mix dry ingredients 4.) Combine wet and dry ingredients 5.) Bake in cupcake pans (adding liners is optional) for 19 min. 6.) Cool and ice with frosting.

    Tip: I took one of my baked cupcakes and crumbled it to be sprinkles on top of my other cupcakes to make it look real pretty.

  • Thank you so much for making this video. I am going through this myself (I made a video about it). I made the decision a few months ago to change my diet and eliminate poultry from my diet. I left beef and pork alone years ago and I have been more selective about the things I eat. It has been a challenge for me and my daughter who is 11. My family has been so judgmental and non-supportive. I was good cook before so I know with a little practice I can get my vegan skills up.

  • @deeplynluv I know exactly how you feel. Family can be the worst at times when it comes to eating healthy or doing anything natural. I made up my mind that my family was not going to make me feel bad about my diet. Now, they repsect my diet and don't try to sneak pork chops and crab legs to my son.

    Now, when they're not feeling so good, guess who they call? :)

    Change is not always comfortable, but the rewards of eating a healthy diet last a lifetime. You age slower, and feel divine!

  • hotep peace and blessing, love what your giving our people, my question is. when are you going to make vegan soul food? the food we made great from what our slave holders use to give us, cause we cannot get away from soul food i see.   • @bklynnuyork I do make vegan soul food, but the traditional dishes I keep under wraps because I have future plans for those dishes. You need to check out my Vegan Sweet Potato Cupcakes video. That's a start. Shalam!
