hi buddy just check that you have twisted the valve fully open, so when you rev the car hard you should be able to see the piston opening and closing when looking down the trumpet if you cant then you have to twist it until you see the piston. If you have the spring too tight then the piston wont release correctly. My spring screw is set flush to the top of the valve at the moment but the tighter it is the hard the engine needs to be revved to release the air. Also check your boost is ok.
just a quick question .. just brought this exact blow off valve , and have had it on my wrx 2002 , all connected etc .. but its not loud it very quit as if its not opening up propley ... tried crc it not making any difference tried adjusting the screw but nothing ... ?? any tips please ...
sorry for the late reply didnt see your post, if you did get it sorted please post your fix but i would guess you have boost leak ( if the car isnt running correctly ).
also make sure the centre screw that controls the spring rate is set correctly
Really that noticeable? I was under the impression they just released back pressure off the turbo. So it's better than just the standard re-circulative one? I was just looking at a cheap one off eBay for about £30, brand new though.

very easy should take less then 15 mins if you take your time. The GFB Respons dump valve comes with full fitting guide anyway. So no problem at all

@SuperComedyDave
you get what you pay for buddy, they do release back pressure but also provide better throttle responce over the stand BOV when gear changing.
this is direct from GFB ( Go Fast Bits ) regarding the Respons Dump Valve
A fast gearshift is about 0.5-0.6 seconds, so when you re-open the throttle with the GFB valve you start
building boost from about 3-4psi, rather than zero, as is the case with the factory valve.
i hope that helps.
