I know you have been probably been asked this question a billion times, but can you change tempo mid-song in logic? ( express/studio whatever ). Because I am planning on moving up to express from garageband because when I program drums for my band ( even though I am the drummer .) I cant change tempo mid song, and Its extremely frustrating. I can send you an MP3 to give you an Idea on what I am doing.
Im a solo artist and i want to mix my songs together on 1 logic project that i can bounce out so that when i hit play for performance it just plays till the end of the set. problem! songs have different tempos- how do you create different tempos in the same track?
@MegaBigbugs In logic you can adjust the 'global' tempo and set it to change the BPM or Time Signature at any specific point. If you look above your first midi/audio track in logic on the left you will see the words "Global Tracks" with a little arrow near it. Hit the arrow and three new parameter tracks appear. 'marker' 'signature' and 'tempo'. Use the pencil tool or whatever to draw in your tempo changes at the specific point you want it to change. Line up the tracks
waddup, I'm using logic right now, and if i do this, this tempo changing, i am getting a really chopped voice, like its chopped in little pieces, i really dont understand this.
@miraeja Hi there! hahaha my mother said "Oh look at the bed in the background!!!!" hahahahah I'm a musician lol wht do you expect? hahahah :) Thanks for the comment :)

Hi, I have a project that I decided to make a dance song so when I upped the tempo, it only changed the tempo of the instruments and loops, not the vocals :(
Do you know how to change the vocals tempo along with the other tracks??
@JohnHarlyn so you know the original bpm right. So just follow the video and increase the bpm to whatever you want it to be. The other way is by switching on 'flex time' set it to 'speed' or 'polyphonic' should work then when you up the tempo of the track the audio should increase too. Peace
HI IM JOSE I HAVE A CUESTION I WANT TO MIX TO DIFERENT SONGS IN LOGIC I HAVE A REALY PROBLEM THEY HAVE TO DIFERET BPM CAN YOU TELL ME WHO CAN I DO IN THIS CASE, TANX FOR YOURE TIME
Im bouncing an audio track from a midi to an AIF and then importing that into a new set up in order to use it with audio - not sure if that is using apple loops or not?
@cobrastudios yes sure. There are a couple of ways depending on what version of logic you use. This method is slightly longer but gives better results. Drag Apple Loop into arrange page. Select the loop with the green locators. Hit "bounce in place" or "bounce" and create a new version. Then follow the video instructions.
Another way is to activate "flex time" for that track, in the inspector window on the left. Then you can "transpose" like you would a midi track. Get bk at me if ur stuck mate
do you know the method of saving your acapella as an apple loop, so you can just import it from your apple loops library and the tempo automatically changes when you change the projects tempo?
@ap0lll0 if the accapella is already in time , activate flex time. Then when you change the global tempo, the audio will change correspondingly! No need to create apple loop out of it!
@HaydynBest remixes are technically not allowed! Although some places have PRS memberships which allows them to play literally anything, remix, demo tapes, covers. you name it...
Hi there mate I use iShowU HD to make my videos! Is screen flow any good? I want something that'll allow me to zoom in and out whilst im recording......

@denisafernando are you using apple loops? If so I "bounce in place" to create a new copy then do it.
