  • thank you man

  • I know you have been probably been asked this question a billion times, but can you change tempo mid-song in logic? ( express/studio whatever ). Because I am planning on moving up to express from garageband because when I program drums for my band ( even though I am the drummer .) I cant change tempo mid song, and Its extremely frustrating. I can send you an MP3 to give you an Idea on what I am doing.

  • thank you this was helpful

  • hey where the fuck are you? in jail? what about the windows? :D

  • Hi

Im a solo artist and i want to mix my songs together on 1 logic project that i can bounce out so that when i hit play for performance it just plays till the end of the set. problem! songs have different tempos- how do you create different tempos in the same track?

  • @MegaBigbugs In logic you can adjust the 'global' tempo and set it to change the BPM or Time Signature at any specific point. If you look above your first midi/audio track in logic on the left you will see the words "Global Tracks" with a little arrow near it. Hit the arrow and three new parameter tracks appear. 'marker' 'signature' and 'tempo'. Use the pencil tool or whatever to draw in your tempo changes at the specific point you want it to change. Line up the tracks

  • @TorronLeeDaFunkyGuy You da man bro!

  • my time and pitch machine is greyed out and i have my audio selected…. what am i doing wrong?

  • @RobVTV Hi mate. Re-bounce the audio you want to change as an '.aiff' file. Import it back in Logic and try again. Should work then . Peace

  • Thanks for the tips!

  • Guys im in holland will get bk to you

  • Hi, I have a project that I decided to make a dance song so when I upped the tempo, it only changed the tempo of the instruments and loops, not the vocals :(

Do you know how to change the vocals tempo along with the other tracks??

  • @JohnHarlyn I have the same problem! Hopefully he'll reply to your question.

  • @JohnHarlyn so you know the original bpm right. So just follow the video and increase the bpm to whatever you want it to be. The other way is by switching on 'flex time' set it to 'speed' or 'polyphonic' should work then when you up the tempo of the track the audio should increase too. Peace

  • Yes! YES YES!!!

  • Thanks man this

     is very helpful.

  • HI IM JOSE I HAVE A CUESTION I WANT TO MIX TO DIFERENT SONGS IN LOGIC I HAVE A REALY PROBLEM THEY HAVE TO DIFERET BPM CAN YOU TELL ME WHO CAN I DO IN THIS CASE, TANX FOR YOURE TIME

  • Hi I try to access the factory settings but they are disarmed when I attempt to enter the one to change pitch /tempo - do you know why this is?

  • @denisafernando are you using apple loops? If so I "bounce in place" to create a new copy then do it.

  • @7649460

Im bouncing an audio track from a midi to an AIF and then importing that into a new set up in order to use it with audio - not sure if that is using apple loops or not?

    Cheers

    D

  • Does this only work for acapellas? can i uses this when sampling instruments?

  • @OficiallyPRE Yes any Audio

  • when you up the pitch it changes the tempo.. is there a way of keepin it the same?

  • Great Video. I wanted to know, when you change the tempo of the audio file. Does it alter the pitch of the audio?

  • @ppierremusic in short. No. Tempo wont alter the pitch when u use this method!

  • Great vid

  • Great video mate, really helpful. Thanks :)

  • good stuff

  • @YourADrag Thanks

  • @7649460

Hello, I did what you demonstrated, yet I'm using an Apple Loop, which does no allow any changes in pitch. Any enlightenment for me?

    thanks for the class!

  • @cobrastudios yes sure. There are a couple of ways depending on what version of logic you use. This method is slightly longer but gives better results. Drag Apple Loop into arrange page. Select the loop with the green locators. Hit "bounce in place" or "bounce" and create a new version. Then follow the video instructions.

Another way is to activate "flex time" for that track, in the inspector window on the left. Then you can "transpose" like you would a midi track. Get bk at me if ur stuck mate

  • Nice tutorials dude! Thanks a lot it really helped me out!

  • @brismontier Thanks Bro

  • Thank you, thank you thank you!!!! : )

  • @TRAKADABADIX haha no probs

  • do you know the method of saving your acapella as an apple loop, so you can just import it from your apple loops library and the tempo automatically changes when you change the projects tempo?

  • @ap0lll0 if the accapella is already in time , activate flex time. Then when you change the global tempo, the audio will change correspondingly! No need to create apple loop out of it!

  • Umm If you do this with a song, can you then put it in a video, and will that be copyright?

  • @HaydynBest remixes are technically not allowed! Although some places have PRS memberships which allows them to play literally anything, remix, demo tapes, covers. you name it...

  • Great vid dude! Keepem' comin!

  • @stylzkeyz Thanks

  • Don't just leave me alone, leave me alone leave me alone leave me alone onne oneeee! (Love that song) Thanks for this btw :D

  • i ment why not i for the first word

  • @whotookmypiewtf well, after switching from PC to Mac i struggled wih the Mac mouse so I just used my old windows mouse!

Plus I have the right and left click option.... which is good for logic. Peace bro!

  • ah for sure

  • @7649460 why when you can just change your system preferences under keyboard & mouse

  • What are you using to record whats on the screen. I use screen flow.

  • Hi there mate I use iShowU HD to make my videos! Is screen flow any good? I want something that'll allow me to zoom in and out whilst im recording......
