keep it clean by getting good antiviruses and you won't have problems, also usually clean your browser history and delete the programs that you don't use anymore, basically you have to treat as a computer, how do you keep your computer fast and protected it's the same with the new smart phones

Also is the battery life really as bad as i've read in some reviews? I don't mind as long as it lastes during most of the day- I'd mostly use to text, listen to music, surf the net and maybe use a fews apps every once in a while (I'm not a big user of apps)

about the color it depends on which one you like, all my ex smart phones were Black i love black and i don't think that there is different in the backcover, the bettery life isn't bad as you read cuz it least for a day if you are using it alot and more than a day if you aren't usning it so it's not bad as you & i read ,it also depends on the brightness you like. you'r welcome :)
