  • Hey, BlakIzBeautyful...just want to say that ur super cute. We all have those days where we try a hairstyle n it doesn't come out exactly the way we like, so i give u props for stating that in ur video. But i constantly watch ur vid's n adopt really cute ideas for my hair from ur vid's. On another note, CONGRATULATIONS TO YOU AND YOUR BABY! GOD BLESS!

  • Oh, and if u do a sock bun, you also could part ear to ear with your fingers, and then put the top in a ponytail first, and the pull the back of your hair up and put a new holder around that and the 1st ponytail to make one "single" ponytail.

  • Aw, It looks pretty decent to me. My hair looks good in a bun and it is only med length. Your hair is as long as mine or maybe longer. I do a sock-bun (aka donut bun), so it looks a little fuller. Google 'How to do a sock bun for natural hair'. Tie it down for 20-30 minutes before leaving the house.

  • It is ok, but you still look good. I think like you said more hair will improve on the bun. Thanks for you videos, keep up the good work.

  • Great video Finally a good bunning video that doesnt involve adding hair! It looks great

  • @karinaishxc Thanks!

  • @karinaishxc agreed

  • Am Gonna Try This Out One Day Soon..:)

  • @ahsiek1118 Would love to see how it works for you!

  • you're so cute..."umm I don't think it's a complete fail" lol :) i tried it today and I would agree not a complete fail

  • @roddrea1988 haha

  • Oh goodness ...for me headache alll day long

  • i remember seeing wj539's bun video when she first did it. i was able to recreate it the day after, but never again for reasons unknown! :( i think you'll be able to do the style easier and bigger if your hair was stretched more. try doing it on braidout hair or on banded hair

  • @xoxomomo great suggestion!

  • maybe you should try using gel so it can look more neat and stay in place better.

  • @mzc1no Good suggestion

  • A bun using a bananna clip is a great option too.

  • @bpwarren128 I dont think my hair is long enough to do this with a banana clip.

  • I thought it was a success! Maybe try doing it with your hair a little damp so it will stretch a little more!

  • @Jeau7 Awww thanks. Great suggestion

  • girl i used to be the one with the little permed ponytail until a guy finally broke it down to me and i was like OMG!!! i have no hair!!! lol...then i started wearing wigs and then i went natural to help grow my hair alot healthier...so yea i was that kinda girl...lol

  • @mochatype LMAO!!

  • I think if you mov the bun down some it may work better???

also check out MsVcharles video she adds marley hair to the bun very simple too...

  • @hondasqueak If I move it back the front might pop out. I actually put the marley hair on, but I wanted to see if my hair could bun.

  • @hondasqueak She has a video using marley hair to make a bun too.

  • I am so feeling you on this video! haha My length is very close to yours and I tried to do this exact same thing just other day. I was so curious to see if I could pull it off! My results were pretty much the same as yours. :-/ We are so close though! lol Before you know it we'll be able to have a big beautiful bun- no Marley hair needed. :) Thanks for the vid!

  • @jfrierson09 Haha thanks.

  • Its cute

  • @sharafrank123 Haha thanks.

  • Lmao at the girls with no hair who try to put their hair in a bun. Im 29 months natural and i still feel ackward wearing a bun because my head is big and my crown is like 4b/4c and it shrinks so much so and doesnt stay stretched for some reason so i end up with a little bun to:(

  • @PYTofDC I know your pain sis.

  • Your hair is long enough. Try it after stretching on large braids, maybe 8. You don't necessarily have to do the inner ponytail.

  • @LaMonicaD My hair was a 5 day old twist out, thats not stretched?

  • Very cute attempt. I think u have enough hair to do a bun. I just discovered I can do one on my hair and I think we are at similar lengths. I use a donut (rolled up sock) though to make it look fuller. Dawnyele has a great vid on it. :)

  • @shearaven4 Great suggestions!

  • your bun would had been much bigger if you had done it on stretched hair.

  • @MissBriiSocialite My hair wasnt stretched?? Its a 5 day old twist out.

  • @BlakIzBeautyful what i meant was you didnt comb through your twistout so your hair was still 'curled' up in its twist out state and not 'stretched' to its full potential. but never mind

  • i have created something similar except i rolled and tucked all around to make the bun and i had stretched hair. sort of helps keep a volumed bun. try stretching your hair its long enough imo. & yes i have a coworker who insists on attempting a ponytail...she will even use the rubberband off the green onions that everybody knows about. lol

  • @grandeuress Good suggestions! What rubberband off the onions??

  • @BlakIzBeautyful our green onions come with this distinctive medium sized thin blue rubberband. She will use that rubberband instead of a black one like those purchased @ the bss. i just try to suggest alternatives to help keep folks from talking @ her.

  • @grandeuress omg!!! LOL

  • Cute! I discovered I can get mine in a bun last month! I appreciate you making videos considering your situation! Take care!

  • @101LadyT Awesome! Thanks for your gratitude!

  • also you could wrap marley braid hair around ur bun for a fuller look!

  • @swtcarmel1 Yup thats exactly what I did afterwards, but I really wanted to get my own hair into a bun.

  • u could also tie a scarf around your head or use a stretchy headband... cute tho!

  • @swtcarmel1 Great suggestions.

  • NICE!!!!!

  • @VaniaSantacatarina Haha thanks.

  • very cute

  • @gad4lyfe Haha thanks.

  • hey i am happy i can put my hair in 2 french braids without having to use bobby pins to keep it from unraveling!! i can't wait to make it to the littlest bun level. it was definitely a great try and it was a cute little bun.

  • @calidrm5 Thanks sis! I cant wait to try it again next year.

  • Try a bun with a banana clip.

  • @rhollandnyc Good suggestion

  • Fake hairof course! MsVCharles did that some time ago. Put your own hair into a bun and add the fake hair to the "bun" portion.

  • @beautybynajah Yup thats exactly what I did afterwards, but I really wanted to get my own hair into a bun.

  • i did a version of this too, video thick afro in a bun. i struggled with jist a ponytail so this method really works for me. a little suggestion maybe stretch ur hair before hand and ad some kinky hair extensions to make ur bun fuller. u can also slick ur hair with some pomade and the palms of ur hands

  • @TheNaprika Thanks for all the advice!

  • Couldnt u just use the same method when making a puff with a knee high?

  • @mschari1484 I could, but when your hair is as thick as mine its really hard to get all my hair up into one when its lose. This would have been much harder to do.

  • I think its cute I think the gel would help.

  • @1cutefox Yea you are surely right.

  • You are getting there, working with what you have....GREAT JOB!!!!

  • @jdee520 I know girl, cant' wait til it looks decent.

  • I like the hair style and the way it turned out. I'll try doing that when I take out my braids.

  • @Nnennia4ever Thanks sis... Id love to see how it comes out for you.

  • The construction of this bun is really interesting! I need to have longer hair before I try it. I looks cute!

Also, I rocked that "Braid out pinned up on one side" style today and It was much loved. Thank you for always sharing such cool styles!

  • @taimatsuko Thats exactly how I felt what I saw it "How interesting".

Thats awesome, that you rocked my braid out pinned up on one side today! Glad you love it and me. Muah!

  • You what, its not bad! The good news is, is that you can put it in a bun! Heck if you want a bigger bun buy some hair lol. But I actually liked the little bun on you. If had fully committed to the style by putting gel in your hair you probably could have gotten more hair in the bun so don't sweat it! Good job thumbs up:)

  • @nakeasimone13 Thanks, Im not comfy in it. I actually put some Marley hair over it. I just posted a tag video where you can see my bun with the Marley hair. I agree, it would look better if I fully committed. Thanks a bunch!

  • Your bun is cute! You have more than enough hair, it looks NOTHING like the struggling buns you're talking about!

  • @kdiddle Hmmmm I guess sis... Im not really feeling it though. My head is too big.

  • Because of the bun. It's cute, but because of the size it makes you look like a little girl.

  • @Nicsnaps Oh I get it.

  • You look like a younger version of yourself.

  • @Nicsnaps Wow! BC of the bun? or in general?
