You dumb bastards, the reason health care costs are so high is because of trial lawyers getting ridiculous settlements for frivolous lawsuits, which causes malpractice insurance to be unaffordable for many health care providers, which causes them to raise their rates which in turn raises insurance rates. Lawyers have the Democrats in their back pockets, so we are at the mercy of these ruthless vultures. Socialized medicine is NOT the answer. We need tort reform, not more welfare.

After your health care plan causes my employer to drop my health insurance, how will the $2500 tax rebate it gives me force corporate health providers to lower prices? International corporations have been unable to do this and have thousands of employees with which to negotiate. What makes you think my company will raise my salary and not take the savings as profit? Your plan seems based on the view sick Americans want free elective care. my old roommate and friend (among several others) worked, and still does work, for SEIU. He had a copy of this document, but he had never read it. I found it one day and was amazed. I thought about sharing it with the world, but did not want to betray my friend's trust. So, I just tell the story.

I don't see anything wrong with socilized medacine. Canada, France and a lot of other European countries have socialized medacine. Everyone I have spoken to over there had nothing bad to say about it and the Canadians said they everything in the documentay Sicko was true for Canada.

Yeah,sure. Tell that to the IBEW workers of RCA in Indianapolis,IN. The jobs left but the union kept ITS job. Members screwed/all fired/plant closed moved to Mexico.

Teamsters...made deals with company. Got .25 raise per year and when the employees tried to decert.,the collected dues for three yrs until the members gave up.
