  • @1995Scotsman I'm half Scottish. i love the bagpipes and i play the bagpipes. they sound amazing if u know how to play them right

  • @MegaWheels27

    You're definitely right there!

But again, if you're half Scottish you have the priveledge to call yourself Scottish, so say you are with pride. :)

  • @1995Scotsman How about a quarter Scottish, mate? Hahaha

  • @Rallo4

    Then you're fucked.

Only joking sir, 1% Scottish blood in ye then you're accepted up here!

  • There is nothing like bagpipes and drums. Imagine 42nd Higlanders marching into battle to drums and pipes, must be quite the moral boost and quite the opposite for the enemy.

  • @FightingforTRUE Idiot

  • @FightingforTRUE I hope you're just trying to tell bad jokes, because if you don't you may end up being taught a lesson about modern Germany. Are you really that retarded to think of a thrilling video on YT to make a Nation march into war? It's either a bad joke or you're just a dumb fcking Polish thief. Your choice!

  • @FightingforTRUE Are you drunk or were you born this way?

  • what is there not to like [4 dislikes]? played well at a smart tempo

  • There's nothing like it!

  • Vikings and Scottish people, is HARDCORE

  • I have taken to hiding because I have been in battle. Not good.

  • glad to be from the Tyrol!

  • If any Scot does not get stirred by the sound of the pipes, you have to question why??? There is nothing to beat the pipes to create a swell in a Scotsmans heart!

  • Love the pipes. Have started to learn myself how to play them love from USA!!!!

  • The pipes are unreal man, always have been it is why they are played in *all* genres of music from hard rock(AC/DC) to classical. There is *no* mistaking that when you hear them you better well listen..to me they are wild sounding yet civilized all in the same instrument.

  • I fucking LOVE bagpipes!

    Best of love from Sweden!

  • @WarWenW ME TOO THERE'S but i came here after i saw Braveheart, with great love and charity from sweden.

  • I'm english with some scottish ancestory being a Cooper. I get guss bumps hearing the battle crys of the pipes. It runs deep and i feel alive and pround. I'd march till glory behind the highlanders! Amen!

  • Can't everone stop giving history lessons!... im not here to read about history to the beautiful sound of bagpipes, but to read about what people think of the tunes, and how the pipers are playing, not about what everyone's nationality is so if ur gonna comment, at least tell the pipers, what u though of their playing

  • @305391 what do you mean

  • [><]

  • says who like the english bollocks?

  • scotland is its own country its not fuckin british screw that for a joke

  • @g1a9r8r9y uh yes it is british

  • @g1a9r8r9y

Appreciate your nationalism, mate, but the term "Britain" pre-dates the arrival of the English and may even come from the old term for the Picts of southern Scotland ("Prydyn.") We Celts are British, but arguably, the English are not.

  • Why is Miley Cyrus , in my suggestion box, when i type 'GREEN HILLS OF TYROL' ?

  • Its so nice when you see a WW 2 movie, with british troops in trouble. That when bagpipes are heared, everyone knows that brave Scotish people are arriving , and so the british are instantie rescued :)

    Im Dutch btw

  • @ericvdp1994 scottish are british people, scotland is one of the nations in the land of britain.

  • @afinendale

  • @Opethvince LO.LL

  • @Opethvince Dude, many Scots, including myself, have Viking blood in them since many settled in Scotland and were christianized. They considered the Scots worthy adversaries in battle and learned to respect these small but TOUGH people.

  • @Opethvince the vikings came to scotland tried to take over and found a people as tough as them so decided to become our friends and comrades. much love and respect to our scandanavian brothers

  • @Opethvince Irish, Scottish, Scandinavian... everythings fine. Be proud!

  • @Opethvince Nothing is wrong with the Vikings! :-)

    Wake early

  • Roderick George Toombs (born April 17, 1954),[2] better known by his ring name "Rowdy" Roddy Piper, is a Canadian former professional wrestler and film actor currently signed to World Wrestling Entertainment. • The Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders of Canada (Princess Louise's)

  • British by birth. Scottish by the Grace of God

  • @gaelscot The Highlanders learned forgiveness a long time ago, from the good book from the hand of godly Scottish men. They also learned strength, toughness and determination - but forgiveness is a great virtue and I think mercy and forgiveness is part of the Scottish spirit. At least, I hope it is.

2nd generation Canadian - grandfather was from Edinburgh.

  • @SvenDreyriAx Welsh were the betrayers of the Celtic heritage.

  • @Myrnir How did we betray the Celtic heritage?

  • @SvenDreyriAx A bagpiper came to my rugby match one time. Played during warm ups, Got me more amped up then listening to drowning pool let the bodies hit the floor or Eminem's lose your self. Also played when we scored a try. This is WAR MUSIC!!!!

  • @SvenDreyriAx yeah ur celt but look back in history m8 the welsh payed the scottish and irish out to the english ur a english celt m8 :P

  • @SvenDreyriAx Funny thing is, the tune is actually a retreat.

  • @archonsod ....but they retreat in style!!!

  • @losthaze yeah with them showing the enemy their arses with kilts up high

  • Just Imagine That total epicness if Chuck Norris played bag pipes .... it would create storms

  • do they mean Tyrol in the Alps?

  • @ltmatt90. Aye.

  • @reb0118 what makes a Scottish peace of bagpipes called 'the green hills of Tyrol?'

  • @ltmatt90 The tune is the "Green Hills of Tyrol". It was composed during the Crimean War and was based on part of the Rossini opera "William Tell" which was set in the Alps. Andy Stewart wrote the words to "A Scottish Soldier" and set them to this tune. Possibly about a dying soldier at the end of the Italian campaign in WWII - but I'm not sure.

  • @reb0118 a scottish soldier dying in the Italian campaign, but the allied campaign in Italy was only in the south while tyrol is an area in the north of italy, I am thinking doubtfully about this...

  • @ltmatt90 Remember lots of songs hae what is known as "artistic licence" - they don't always follow th'literal facts of an event. However I do mind that British troops (including the usual large element of Scots) were stationed in the North West of Italy (Sued Tyrol) & across the border in Austria. They accepted the surrender there of the Prinz Eugen SS division (which is another story) and were in occupation for many years afterwards. Maybe a wounded Scot dying in an Alpine military hospital?

  • Top notch stuff. I play pipes and snare drum. And being a drum major myself I would be proud to have that behind me :)

  • Fighters. They wanted you to know they were coming.

  • Comment removed
