When it happened again I told my mom and then a few days later she told me that it was blood. Oh the joys of becoming a woman.

Roseanne was such a great show, I felt more like they were real neighbors of mine, rather than a TV show. I felt like I was a friend of the family....I would even find myself having conversations (mentally) with the characters, throughout my day, about whatever the plot entailed. LOL!

I remember getting mine...i was ten.It was a year before sex ed class. i was in 4th grade. its strange when it happens so young because you're still a kid but now youu have this kind of grown up responsibility. I wouldnt have made it through the year if it werent for the teachers that let me use their sweater to wrap around me as i walked to the nurse for new clothes. :/ today my uncle was joking about how i got mine at the beach once and how he said the sharks would come and kil me. haha :)

Darlene actually got married to Mark, and David and Becky were actually together. The end of the show reveals the show was all Roseanne writing a book about her life and she jumbled stuffed together differently then how it happened in her "real" life so as to fit her preferences,

I got mine in December '98 when I was 12 1/2. My mom, baby sis and I were walking around looking at other people's Christmas decorations and I felt something wet from down below and my stomach hurt. My stomach had hurt for the whole week and I complained to my mom thinking that I had the flu. When we got home I went to the bathroom and...well, you can guess the rest. I didn't yell at my mom the way Darlene did but I was pretty (unpleasantly) surprised and went and told my mom.

I love Darlene's character so much because she's the only one that grew up and showed some growth on this show.. I love how she started out from a young little girl ,to having her period,later turning into a goth, then turning into a beautiful mature woman who fell in love with a man,got pregnant and got married to David.

Roseanne says herself - she has to trust her kids. She can't watch them every minute or do every thing for them. She caught flack for her parenting style by both Bowman and Becky's Principal.
