  • #1: this will not work with strong chewers;

    #2: tennis balls are dangerous for dogs due to the powder that is used inside the tennis balls.

    Just saying....

  • Now this is helpful.

    My dog has absolutely no interest in sticks, toys of any variety, rawhides, balls, etc. Even as a puppy....no interest. She is a Border Collie. I thought she is just weird, although I met a cattle farmer with a Border Collie who has no interest whatsoever in livestock. Anyway, finally something that might work...she loves food.

  • I'm trying to teach my dog Lucy to fetch. She runs up to the ball, sniffs it and leaves it there. Sometimes, she picks it up and runs around for a while, then drops it. She appears not to be toy-motivated and will not bring the ball back, even when there is a treat inside. Lucy is a Whippet and is generally very active. If I offer a treat, she drops the ball and then runs back. Is there a way to get my dog to bring the ball back?

  • my dog will NEVER fetch! lik, shes lik, 6 or so now, and when she wuz younger, she ALWAYS liked playing with toys. now, when i show her a toy or tennis ball or frisbee, she just looks at it and goes away. i hope this works. shes a beagle 2
