This is how my grandparent worshiped, listen to the haunting music. Remember not all could read, and this was the only way give thanks for what little they had and they had to go to Church on a Sunday TWICE. These were communities who were strickly governed by the Laird& Church.

Guess where we all came from...nature. And what do you think was alive and well before Christianity swept through Scotland? Nature-worship. There is nothing "post-modernist" about talking about the grand source out of which everyone is made!!!! How petty and human of you. Thanks so much for sharing this. We lost the Gaelic in my families generations ago in North Carolina. There are elements of our singing that survive, however.
