@UntitledMutt pretty much every custom drum company can make you one but if you want he exact same as this one then go to ocdrum.com I'd definitely recommend an SJC, it's the same thing for less money or even a Truth kit

Go to Guitar Center and you'll be buying crappy assembly made bullshit not even made by OCDP. Guitar Center pays to have the name on there. Only way you'll get a good OCDP kit is paying out the big bucks and designing one all on your own.

Wow, just realized how much has been said on this video. I forgot my password and ended up just forgetting about this video. To clear up all the details the kit is 22 Deep x 20 High Kick, 8x12 rack tom, 16x16 floor tom, 6.5 x 14 vented snare 40 ply. I purchased the kit used from a local ocdp dealer for 2200. This video was made to help sell the kit giving a better view of what it looked like. I switched over to using DW after this kit, decided to hop off the custom drum bandwagon haha.
To Derjumba2forever... I wasn't actually referring to the Newport series they offer. I was speaking of their 'custom' line everyone is familiar with.
For the amount of money they charge for their products, which by the way, is assembly line stuff. If you look at their components, all, if not mostly all of them (lugs, suspension mounts, claws, shells, throw-offs, hoops, spurs, etc.) can be found on most 'do it yourself' online supplier sites.
Overpriced, assembly line garbage. They make not a single thing in house that I know of. It's all assembly line parts that one could obtain through any online do-it-yourself supply house. It's cheap crap marketed towards the uneducated masses who just want what's popular and cool.
If you've ever sat down and played one of these kits you'll soon find that they sound like ass.
@Jaredondrums you have to find one tuned to your liking guitar center tunes most of theyre drums the same and they sound horrible its all based on whether you like your toms loose or tight and such personal preferences are hard to satisfy when demoing a kit at guitar center

Of course, OCDP finish quality is below average and these drums are *extremely* overpriced. But saying that they sound like ass is ridiculous, they have a very, very specific tom and snare sound. No other drums sound like OCDP, not even close.
You may or may not like the sound. From your comment I can tell you hate it, but some people love it and some of these people even have the money to buy an OCDP kit.
I've played, observed and teched their drums, so yes, I've played them. It's a Keller shell, plain and simple. They're not recreating the wheel here, people! There are a slew of builders in the custom realm who are doing far more in the way of shell design, sound properties and finishes and still charge a fraction of what these clowns demand. If people have the money to buy them, well... I guess mission accomplished on OCDP's part.

I wouldn't get an OCDP kit, even if I had the money. If I HAD to go custom, I'd probably choose DW. But mass-production 4-piece sets with 'virgin' bass drums, like Tama Superstar Hyperdrive or Gretsch Catalina Mod, look just like custom sets, sound great and you can get them for less than $1k.

Wow, just realized how much has been said on this video. I forgot my password and ended up just forgetting about this video. To clear up all the details the kit is 22 Deep x 20 High Kick, 8x12 rack tom, 16x16 floor tom, 6.5 x 14 vented snare 40 ply. I purchased the kit used from a local ocdp dealer for 2200. This video was made to help sell the kit giving a better view of what it looked like. I switched over to using DW after this kit, decided to hop off the custom drum bandwagon haha.

To Derjumba2forever... I wasn't actually referring to the Newport series they offer. I was speaking of their 'custom' line everyone is familiar with.
For the amount of money they charge for their products, which by the way, is assembly line stuff. If you look at their components, all, if not mostly all of them (lugs, suspension mounts, claws, shells, throw-offs, hoops, spurs, etc.) can be found on most 'do it yourself' online supplier sites.
They assemble, they don't 'build' anything.

Of course, OCDP finish quality is below average and these drums are *extremely* overpriced. But saying that they sound like ass is ridiculous, they have a very, very specific tom and snare sound. No other drums sound like OCDP, not even close.
You may or may not like the sound. From your comment I can tell you hate it, but some people love it and some of these people even have the money to buy an OCDP kit.

I've played, observed and teched their drums, so yes, I've played them. It's a Keller shell, plain and simple. They're not recreating the wheel here, people! There are a slew of builders in the custom realm who are doing far more in the way of shell design, sound properties and finishes and still charge a fraction of what these clowns demand. If people have the money to buy them, well... I guess mission accomplished on OCDP's part.

I wouldn't get an OCDP kit, even if I had the money. If I HAD to go custom, I'd probably choose DW. But mass-production 4-piece sets with 'virgin' bass drums, like Tama Superstar Hyperdrive or Gretsch Catalina Mod, look just like custom sets, sound great and you can get them for less than $1k.
