Po-cky, someone will hopefully know the reason I put a hyphen there. Anyway what is a typical bento like in japan? And also, I want to see an otaku paradise, the bookstore! :D
imo the "mundane" things are way more interesting. i was going to say i know of a lot of convenience stores here that sell liquor, but i guess they would be liquor stores....
I really like your video's. My dream is to go and live there . I want to come for my master but as a student can you work and study there or only study, because i don't have that much of money for a long time and i dream of going there and begin my life with studying there. Please can you help me with this question. thank you :)
Hey, Annie... will you tell me something...What do you usually eat at Breakfast and Lunch and Dinner in Japan ??? I am a little bit curious about that.... I am japanese by the way..
and What is your Favorit japanese Food and opposit ??
@brotherannie you should do a video on the anime and manga museum. that would be awesome... AND your vids are not boring, they are halarous i love them so much i cant stop watching them. it makes me want to go to japan even more! and where did (or how) did u learn japanese? I am a curious learner
The "mundane" is interesting to me. I came across your channel by looking up konbini while reading about hikikomori / shut-ins, and what do you know, someone posted a video on konbini -- cool. Thanks for the walk-through vid. Are you still in Japan? What do you do or did you do over there, school- or work-wise if you don't mind me asking.
FamilyMart is epic!! I got a chance to try some of this stuff in Yoyogi in a study aboard program two summers ago. 7 & holdings, too.. CALPIS is pretty good! うまい they need more of this in lil ol north Texas.
@gerbilsrock55 XD It's 'calpis(japanese pronunciation: ka-ru-pi-su)' a sweet/fruit drink that is easily digestible for those that have issues with lactose. In stores in the US (if you can find it) they renamed it to 'Calpico' since you all seem to have caught on to what the name sounds like. I recommend it, too. I love it, but have yet to get more~
this lady gives a great tour of a convenience store ! hey,,, if you guys like bento (japanese lunch boxes) and japan, come on over to my page and see REAL japanese bento from JAPAN! :) plus all sorts of views and stuff.. come on over!
their rules about what you can buy at a certain age is different right?
Like here we can buy alcohol and cigarettes when we are sixteen and drive when we have our license at the age of 18 tough in the US you have fifferent rules. I was wondering if you could tell something like that aswell? And I really like your videos cause you show us how everyday life in Japan is :)
@gsus7125 so you're saying we shouldn't have convinience store and have yummy foods? 0-0 they still have traditional values. You just have to visit other city not just Tokyo. Like try kamakura, Askusa, Edo, etc. you will see bunch of traditional stuff.
I really enjoy your videos. I loved Japan when I was there i the service, but never got to see the things you are seeing. (We stayed on base pretty much and only went into town to the movies, etc.
Thanks for pointing out those things. I appreciate it.
In America, you can't buy liquor in normal stores? Wow. I knew that the drinking age was 21, but that's seriously strict.
Here in Denmark, we can drink and buy alcohol, when we're 16, and in most stores, you can buy alcohol. It's kinda funny, to find out differences between countries. :3
@lunsep besides that you can buy porn at any age and anywhere in Denmark, so wonder why you´re the top producing country of "movies with horses involved", maybe you get bored quite easily...
Well, I'm Swedish and I guess you know how strict it is here. We can't buy anything with more than 3,5 % alcohol in ordinary stores, only in special liquor stores called Systembolaget. And you have to be 20 to buy anything there. So to us it doesn't seem strict at all. =)
@lunsep It's only certain states that don't sell alcohol in normal stores. For example, in California (where I live) alcohol is sold in almost all stores that sell any kind of food products.
I love how you go "You can even buy liqour in some stores" as if surprised. I know the US have stores specific for liqour, which is sort of ridiuclous. Where I'm from you can hit the local super market and buy anything. Vodka, Whisky, Cognac, wine, regular beer etc.
