  • Great video ... Thanks

so is this mean if i've got new "computer" not recorded in AD , and i've created task sequence media , so can i deploy os on this new computer ?

i've tried many ways but it says "No task sequence available for this computer"

if it exist then i have to put it in osd collection then its works , but if its new computer ???! is there's any way to deploy ?

  • @perfumed88

You can either deploy to unknown computers or import the unknown computer into SCCM.

  • Hi, what is the script command you are running, so it prompts you to add the workstation ID. thanks

  • Hi sufibee,

If you are using SCCM R2 you dont necessarily need a script anymore you can go into the collection variables tab and create osdcomputername with a blank value.

You will then be prompted to name an unknown computer.

If you search for the following on technet forum it will have all the info:

"SCCM R2 Unknown Computer Support and changing computer name during Task Sequence"

Will post script if you still need it.

  • @winDeploy plz tell teach me how to get it to prompt for computer ID only.
