Sure he had flashes of the old Shane in the Vargas and Margarito fights (two fighters with less than stellar boxing ablility) but after Forrest Shane fought too cautiously; like he was afraid of getting hurt (again).

When it comes to personality. Shane has the most humble champion-like attitude. He gets in the ring with anyone at anytime as long as he feels it's a challenge. sometimes i wish forrest never existed, after that loss Shane's style changed and he lost a lot of confidence which I still believe he's lacking to this day despite beating Marga. Back then Moseley had the fastest footwork i'd ever seen.

I feel you, i say the same with adding pac in the equation. All 3 guys cancels out each other's speed. Floyd can beat them by ultilizing his great defense and boxing to a decision. Pac would need to put super pressure on floyd like castillo and win by decision or KO BUT he needs to box mosley to win. For mosley, He cant go to decision with either of them, and he cant be KO'd by them either SO his only option is a KO win.
I love watching Shane fight, he is easily one of the greatest of all time but he often compromises his defense for offense. His head will go with his hook which is a NO in boxing or it will come up with his uppercut because he's trying to throw the punch so hard. This is why patient, boxer/counter punching fighters beat him: Wright, Forrest, Cotto. He can beat anyone from 154 on down with relative ease excluding Floyd Mayweather & Paul Williams. Manny would be interesting. Anyone else cakewalk!

The Only real welterweight Mayflower has fought was De la Hoya, in a boring split decision win, a long time ago. ODH was in his prime when he fought and lost to Mosley in their 1st fight. Oscar and Shane were both great. ODH was past his prime when he fought Gayfeather, and if ODH would have kept using his jab he would have easily won. Gayfeather also ducked a rematch with De la Hoya. The fight was so close there should have been a rematch, but again Floyd was afraid of getting a loss on his record.

Margi is a come foward fighter who throws many punches (taylor made for mosley). Mosleys clinch prevented margi from ever getting anything off. The perfect strategy, it slowed the pace down.
Pac isn't a come foward fighter, infact, he's an in and out fighter, he wouldn't be clinched as margi was.

@kennean7 - True. I take Manny's recent accomplishments with a grain of salt. De La Hoya & Cotto were forced to fight at catchweights that dehydrated them. When was the last time you heard of the CHAMP being forced to fight at a catchweight to defend his title? Cotto had to agree to come in at 145 when he had a hard time making 147 as it was. DLH not only fought Manny @ welter for the first time in years - he didn't put any weight on after the weigh-in.
DLH didn't properly rehydrate after the weigh-in because he stated that he "wanted to be fair to Manny." So DLH came out of retirement, dehydrated himself to make an artificial weight, then didn't even replenish himself. Cotto was weight-drained. Hatton already had his cherry popped by Floyd - and his beer drinking and gaining 50 pounds between fights caught up to him.
And when Manny moved up to 135 (lightweight), he avoided the REAL champ - Nate Campbell - who had just beaten the undefeated undisputed champ Juan Diaz for 3 out of the 4 belts. Instead of going for the legitimate title to stake his claim for a title in yet another weight class - Manny chose to go after the 1 (ONE) belt that David Diaz held. Diaz was NOT considered the real champ at that weight - he was considered the EASIER option.

They say pac's a small man, no, he used to be. Just like floyd or mosley. The oscar fight pac walked around at 147. He should be naturally 150 about now. I seen pac feeling floyd and landing big shots like marquez did, but floyd can adapt very well. I think this fight comes down to stamina. Speeds the same, chins are the same, one is best at offense one is defense. One has power, the other has counter punches which makes up in power. Stamina is the key to this fight. sometimes i wish forrest never existed, after that loss Shane's style changed and he lost a lot of confidence which I still believe he's lacking to this day despite beating Marga. Back then Moseley had the fastest footwork i'd ever seen.
I hope he destroys Mayweather and goes on to beat pac. I would have rather preferred the winner of pac v mayw to fight moseley.

I feel you, i say the same with adding pac in the equation. All 3 guys cancels out each other's speed. Floyd can beat them by ultilizing his great defense and boxing to a decision. I love watching Shane fight, he is easily one of the greatest of all time but he often compromises his defense for offense. His head will go with his hook which is a NO in boxing or it will come up with his uppercut because he's trying to throw the punch so hard. This is why patient, boxer/counter punching fighters beat him: Wright, Forrest, Cotto. He can beat anyone from 154 on down with relative ease excluding Floyd Mayweather & Paul Williams. Manny would be interesting. Anyone else cakewalk!

I think Mayweather probably has more defensive skill, but Manny and Shane have more offense. The Only real welterweight Mayflower has fought was De la Hoya, in a boring split decision win, a long time ago. Every good welterweight is willing to fight Floyd if he just signs the contract and doesn't throw up roadblocks. I hope Floyd doesn't fight another lightweight. Oscar picked the weight, picked the gloves. the venue, ring size, judges and hired millions of dollars worth of trainers, sparred with SSM, etc and still came up short. Watch the fight. ODH was in his prime when he fought and lost to Mosley in their 1st fight. Oscar and Shane were both great. ODH was past his prime when he fought Gayfeather, and if ODH would have kept using his jab he would have easily won. Gayfeather also ducked a rematch with De la Hoya. The fight was so close there should have been a rematch, but again Floyd was afraid of getting a loss on his record.

Margi is a come foward fighter who throws many punches (taylor made for mosley). Mosleys clinch prevented margi from ever getting anything off. The perfect strategy, it slowed the pace down.

When was the last time you heard of the CHAMP being forced to fight at a catchweight to defend his title? Cotto had to agree to come in at 145 when he had a hard time making 147 as it was. DLH not only fought Manny @ welter for the first time in years - he didn't put any weight on after the weigh-in.

So DLH came out of retirement, dehydrated himself to make an artificial weight, then didn't even replenish himself. Cotto was weight-drained. Floyd was requesting random testing throughout training AND a final Olympic style test 48 hours before the fight. That's the facts. No boxer should be drawing blood 48 hours before a fight. we're both reading and getting our info from "facts" so I'm guessing that there's more to the story then WE know. Besides, boxing is an olympic sport. Do all the olympic athletes feel weak and cant perform from the testing? No. So I say why not? F*ck it, do it and give us fans what we want. Cause floyd will have to do it too, no advantage. 1st, Olympic boxing and professional boxing are two completely different sports. Night and day. Ever heard of anyone getting killed in the Olympics? 2nd, the advantage would go to Floyd in a test 48 hours before the fight. Manny is a high energy fighter. Taking blood from him would affect his stamina more than Floyds because all Floyd does is stand there slipping shots. Expends NO energy. That's why Floyd pulled that shit. From what I read, he agreed to all the test but the 14day one. I want both to win in different ways, I want pac to lose cause I see so many openings. The speed is the only reason ppl cant get those openings and i know floyd can. On the other hand, floyd is a cocky son of bitch. you must be stupid, that's the standard way. Just like weed, but yet you can get it out your system in a couple days. I took Dbol in the military, I got agressive as hell. My performance was elite. I didnt know they didnt allow it til about 2 weeks b4 a test (in the marines). I was clean. Need I say more? This is coming from a guy who dont have pac's connections and money. Dont come at me like I dont know what im talkin about.

I think he'll beat berto and all roads lead to him. Since he's the welterweight champion. However, berto is a younger version of him. I think it's more on the promoters side. mayweather had a massive weight advantage over marquez if they had both fought each other at the lightweight limit 135lb the fight would have been alot more competative marquez may have won at 135 it was way too much weight for jmm to go to he lost speed of hand ,foot and reflex - pacman is comfortable at 140-147 at the weight he has not lost his advantages like marquez did - mayweather is scared of manny thats why we have all the blood test bullshit

Both have each other's weakness. Pac hates boxers (floyd the best at that) Floyd hates pressure fighters (pac is the best at that). One is fighting for a whole country, but one is fighting for money (probably f*cked himself with debt and wants this for his family). Powerful powerful match. I stick to my prediction.

Marquez is a great boxer and gave pac trouble. Fans might say "well pac has improved since then." This may be true, but Floyd is extremely better then marquez in technical boxing and accuracy. PLUS his defense is second to none. Pac will have MORE trouble beating Floyd's defense/counter punching than floyd will have to pac's pressure/power.

They think becuz Floyd runs that he isnt good or will be KO'd by Pac. However, I follow top boxers and he has stood toe2toe many times and has taken BIG shots. And to this day, I've seen him kinda tired ONCE. Castillo DID beat him the 1st time tho and pacs gonna bring that type of pressure to him. Pac only has a chance early on, hoping for one of his flurries lands a well placed haymaker on the chin. Otherwise, pac will lose becuz of he hold his hands down asking for a counter.

ALL who are also slower than him. Floyd is in the same ball park with pac in terms of speed. Pac will surprize floyd tho, only becuz he hasnt experienced speed since zab. Exactly, we on the same page. But the no look punches can be surprizing. I mean, Marquez was able 2 land big shots on Floyd, but as the fight goes on... He adapts to ur techniques and finds an answer, changing his movements and timing. Thats why I say pacs best chance will be in the the 1st few rounds. After that, I dont see pac winning at all. And believe me, I predicted every fight pac had since marquez almost perfectly. And Im glad floyd finally picked a competitive fight accordin 2 the fans

@DonnieLove214 You're missing out on one key issue; Styles make fights. On paper Ali NEVER should have beaten Foreman. Foreman DESTROYED the two men who had beaten Ali. People were afraid for Ali's life going into that fight. We know what happened there. Floyd hasn't fought anyone close to Manny or in their prime. Floyd is a master of capitalizing on weaker opponents. And as a result now the biggest fight of this generation is off because Floyd pussed out.

Wait, didn't Hatton (who was one of the most pressure fighters get his bell rang). Oscar pressured him also the whole fight, but Floyd's defense is insane. Oscar looked great pressuring him but look how many shots Floyd avoided. Oh no, I definitely give him hatton. Even tho he had to move up to fight floyd but I give him that fight. I'm just disappointed that Floyds been picking most of his fights. The opponents have to move up, down, passed their prime, etc etc. Basically on a decline in their careers, and that's when u can expect floyd to fight them. It's wasted talent. A lot of ppl are looking passed Shane, but few see the truth. Look at it this way, can mosley beat everyone on floyd resume even at his age now? Yes. Can floyd do that with mosley's resume? No. If Shane avoided those big guys (forrest+winky) and had nazim in his corner for cotto. He'd be undefeated too. I mean 38-0, 36KOs leaving lightweight is freaken ridiculous. But unlike floyd, shane has balls. He dont give a dam about his record. He gets in there and fights anyone.

Also, look at Oscar. he pressure floyd and floyd block a lot but it made him throw less then he has EVER thrown in his career. Judah landed plenty with JUST speed and floyd was tired with castillo with just pressure/size. Mosley has all of these mixed into one guy. WITH the 2inch added reach over floyd. He has more power then corley (who ROCK floyd twice, one almost putting floyd down). Just expect a great fight. If floyd wins, hed have to truly earn his win. And I give him 100% props for that.

They say pac's a small man, no, he used to be. Just like floyd or mosley. The oscar fight pac walked around at 147. He should be naturally 150 about now. I seen pac feeling floyd and landing big shots like marquez did, but floyd can adapt very well. I think this fight comes down to stamina. Speeds the same, chins are the same, one is best at offense one is defense. One has power, the other has counter punches which makes up in power. Stamina is the key to this fight. And who wants it more...

Even tho mosley and floyd have come from lower weight classes. They havent seen their OWN or Pac's speed in the ring for YEARS. Pac has the advantage in that department. Strength/chin goes to mosley as well as power. Floyd is the most technical/defensive combo. And pac is mighty mouse, a little guy that ppl under estimate. Doesnt matter tho cuz Floyd basically called out pac in the last interview. Its GONNE HAPPEN! 2010 baby!

Watching all the fights from a non bias point of view, pac has good stamina but Floyds is better than that. Whens the last time we seen floyd tired? Pac was tired in the cotto fight, u can see it. I agree with Floyd not fighting the top of the top welters but Pac also picks his fights for his advantage too.
