The cities remain unaffected mostly by the insurgency. Most people don't give a damn anymore whether sum1n is hindu or muslim. Politics is different but u can expect some free food at some places if u say u r indian. My uncle came and he managed to get us all free food at Jawed nahari. Lahore u can visit easy.

I am an Indian and wish I could see Lahore and Kasur where my grandpa was a teacher in a school, of course before partition. He used to tell me of his friends with tears in his eyes. ... kya ho gaya ki abhi bichde huye hain ek din zaroor ayega jab tere dard ko main apna samjhunga aur mere zakhm par tu marham lagayega.
