Texas Tech is much better this year. Both teams have changed a lot. We'll see who wins in Austin this year. I'm a Tech fan, but good luck to UT. You'll need it. ;)
Parts of this video sound pretty pompous. Maybe if you didn't include those fairly classless moments in your video, you wouldn't have as much backlash as you do.

I'm a little late commenting on this but I just would like to point out that you're opinion of tech fans vs. longhorn fans is a little skewed... i go to texas tech and was at both this game and last year's game in austin... yes tech fans are brutal to longhorns but ut fans treat tech fans like shit when we're down there as well... i'm not going to argue about who's fans are worse but the student section in austin trash talks just as much as any red raider i've met... just sayin'

longhorns look good compared to the rest? 27-24 over air force is hardly inspiring, but they were just outta the top 25 and run a ridiculous triple option. Not to mention in OU's 2 close games, they had big leads and just relaxed too much. My personal opinion: OU has looked much better, but who cares I guess, all that matters is next week.

The Texas Tech offense was absolutely miserable this weekend for two reasons: 1) the Texas defense played lights out and 2) we destroyed every ounce of momentum we could put together with our penalties and bone head plays. I think that if our offense had played up to level we can usually expect from Tech, things would have been different. Having said that, it wasn't. Congrats Texas on the W

Tech's 2011recruiting class is as of now ranked 15th in the nation, the one Texas played last Saturday was in the 50s. Texas is #1, I got a B.A from Tech and a Masters from UT, so I don't mind rooting for either team, now I am at UCSB. For all we know A&M might win a championship 2, 3 years from now.

@One1of4the9few3 I would be quite surprised if UT made it back to the NCG this year. It's going to be hard to go 4-0 in games AT Manhattan, AT Lincoln, against OU and TAMU, and then beat Nebraska again.
I still think it's hard to know how good either team is. We will know much more about UT after the OU game, and much more about tech..... sometime. They place Iowa State and Baylor next so it may be a while. It's been a weird season in the Big12 so far, with A&M and OU just slipping by teams they were supposed to blow out. But UT definitely has a tough 2 game stretch against OU and Neb. Those 2 games should determine the season for yall.

The problem with OSU is that we have seen them start out well but when it came to crunch time against OU or UT, it didn't happen. The thing is that in all seriousness...The SEC right now is better, the Big 10 right now is better, the PAC 10 right now is better. The big 12 is a handful of above average teams, and next year when the big 12 is 10 teams, it really is going to be mediocre. Good luck to OSU..

#1 not one of those INTs was because he threw a bad pass two were from tips and thats on the O Lineman for not hitting the DE low enough and the third is on the reciever for not catching the ball and then letting it fly into the air and not batting it down to the turf.

@johnnyreb1025 OR maybe because the last time we played Tech in '06 we held them to three points because THAT is what dominant defenses do against a more potent Tech offense than they have now. Maybe it has to do with the fact that they have a new coach and offense, and didn't want to start the year getting their ass kicked like Baylor just did. At least I give Baylor credit. They stepped up. We are 15-3 against BCS opponents in our last 18 games. 6-2 against the big 12.

No great or even good defense gives up 34 points and as for being on the field all day. Thats what depth is for. A great defense would have got the turnovers to win the game ala Alabama 24 Arkansas 20. Stanford beat UCLA by 35, Arkansas would beat UCLA by 50 and Arkansas is probably the fifth best SEC team.
I was walking around the Jones Stadium area after the game and didn't hear one negative comment toward any ut fan. I'm not saying it didn't happen, I'm stating that Lubbock isn't some war zone like you paint it up to be. I think Tech fans were more angry at our own team for gift-wrapping 10-17 points for ut. The game was ugly for both teams, but wasn't a rout like you described it.
this is a weird ass football season to be a fan...every time i get PISSED and want to rip into my horns for playing bad...i look over and see OU barely beating air force...or the aggies almost losing to florida international...both AT HOME....the mistakes the longhorns make are inexcusable....but our defense is so badass that it almost doesn't matter....i don't remember a time in the last few years where i had so much confidence in our D....this longhorns team is almost like the old ravens
Just saying, I went to the Tech game last year in Austin and this year in Lubbock. The fans at Texas Tech are the worst I've ever seen. The cussing out I got as a Texas fan before and after the game was horrible. this is a great win for our texas defense, if we can keep playin like this on the other side of the ball we can keep games close even if our offense is struggling. I still think that fozzy is our rb and that malcolm williiams will really need to win 1 on 1 matchups to live up to the hype he had before the season. Garrett showed poise in the pocket and didnt force the ball into tight spaces like a first year starteer. I was very pleased with his composure after his int's. Hook em horns.

Was hoping to see John Chiles play at wide out, in the beginning it kinda took a while for freshman mike Davis to get going. but for a Texas team I thought we dropped a lot of balls yesterday i don't think Malcolm Williams really impressed me. I thought the only consistent receiver that was making plays was kirkendoll. If I was a texas recever going into film today I would make sure that my reciever group would take blame for Garret Gilbert 3 interceptions. overall good day for the horns defense
@HornsTD You gotta blame the right tackle for two of the interceptions. As for receivers dropping balls, they are continuing to under-perform, which cost them the NCG. The talent is there, they just need to bring it together or it is going to be a rough October for the offense.

I think this game proved that we have one of the best secondary in the nation. Its not easy holding Tech to under 150 yards and only one TD. Im just glad this game is behind us, so we can concentrat on what games are really going to test this Texas team. But they cant overlook UCLA, they're coming off a good win over Houston.
whats up with Tech punting on 4th and 12 with 100 seconds left and only one time out? They committed suicide by doing so and Tech is a complete joke for having an idiot as head coach. They punted and stopped Texas to a three and out and could not get the ball back because the clock ran out. At least they had a chance by going for it. It was a majorly tiny one, but it was better than punting.

i really think that tech's offense isn't as good as it has been in the 10 years under mike leach. having said that, the defense/scott smith kept us in that game, 150 offensive yards is absolutely horrible. thank gosh we have a bye week
That silent treatment really made it an awkward place to play on defense. It kind of just took all the energy out of the building. And players thrive on that energy.
Is it possible that we were STILL holding back in order to not show anything? Because after those interceptions, we started playing real conservative. And Garrett Gilbert never got flustered at all. He was almost too calm and nonchalant when I thought he should be pressing the panic button more. Oh well, we won and OU struggled too

Im a red raider, and i agreed with everything you said. I have no excusses, i am sorry that you were treated that way in lubbock, i promise it wasnt me! Tech student here; It was a great game, but good lord penalties galore! That Texas secondary was all over those receivers. I don't think I saw more than 6 plays where the receivers were actually open.
Texas' offense is what will hinder them this season, but everyone knows that. Watch out for Nebraska!
As for the Tech fans, i'm a student and I am never going to another Texas game. I cannot stand how a lot of those kids just make jerks out of themselves. Good lord kids calm down and grow up!

longhorns look good compared to the rest? 27-24 over air force is hardly inspiring, but they were just outta the top 25 and run a ridiculous triple option. Not to mention in OU's 2 close games, they had big leads and just relaxed too much. My personal opinion: OU has looked much better, but who cares I guess, all that matters is next week.

The Texas Tech offense was absolutely miserable this weekend for two reasons: 1) the Texas defense played lights out and 2) we destroyed every ounce of momentum we could put together with our penalties and bone head plays. I still think it's hard to know how good either team is. We will know much more about UT after the OU game, and much more about tech..... sometime. They place Iowa State and Baylor next so it may be a while. It's been a weird season in the Big12 so far, with A&M and OU just slipping by teams they were supposed to blow out. But UT definitely has a tough 2 game stretch against OU and Neb. Those 2 games should determine the season for yall.

The problem with OSU is that we have seen them start out well but when it came to crunch time against OU or UT, it didn't happen. The thing is that in all seriousness...The SEC right now is better, the Big 10 right now is better, the PAC 10 right now is better. The big 12 is a handful of above average teams, and next year when the big 12 is 10 teams, it really is going to be mediocre. Good luck to OSU..

#1 not one of those INTs was because he threw a bad pass two were from tips and thats on the O Lineman for not hitting the DE low enough and the third is on the reciever for not catching the ball and then letting it fly into the air and not batting it down to the turf.

Maybe it has to do with the fact that they have a new coach and offense, and didn't want to start the year getting their ass kicked like Baylor just did. At least I give Baylor credit. They stepped up. We are 15-3 against BCS opponents in our last 18 games. 6-2 against the big 12.

No great or even good defense gives up 34 points and as for being on the field all day. Thats what depth is for. A great defense would have got the turnovers to win the game ala Alabama 24 Arkansas 20. Stanford beat UCLA by 35, Arkansas would beat UCLA by 50 and Arkansas is probably the fifth best SEC team.

I was walking around the Jones Stadium area after the game and didn't hear one negative comment toward any ut fan. I'm not saying it didn't happen, I'm stating that Lubbock isn't some war zone like you paint it up to be. I think Tech fans were more angry at our own team for gift-wrapping 10-17 points for ut. The game was ugly for both teams, but wasn't a rout like you described it.

Just speaking about the RTF incident... I've never seen a team handle victory SO poorly before. TTU rushed the field multiple times before the game WAS OVER and then proceded to tear apart their own stadium. THAT specific incident was BAD.

this is a great win for our texas defense, if we can keep playin like this on the other side of the ball we can keep games close even if our offense is struggling. I still think that fozzy is our rb and that malcolm williiams will really need to win 1 on 1 matchups to live up to the hype he had before the season. Garrett showed poise in the pocket and didnt force the ball into tight spaces like a first year starteer. I was very pleased with his composure after his int's. Hook em horns.

ahhh for Texas to come to Lubbock with the crazy crowd, and win... congrats. wow Texas's defense was better than i thought. TTU offensive just stalled, and tubbs couldn't get the running game going and Tex saw that and stop blitzing and took over. BUT for Tex fans to say their gonna "Blow us out" that's crazy talk. Its always a close game every year and ALWAYS sloppy play for BOTH teams. now i"m sunburn and horsed....there is still alot of football left. WRECK'EM & damn cowboys.. 0-2 come on!

Was hoping to see John Chiles play at wide out, in the beginning it kinda took a while for freshman mike Davis to get going. but for a Texas team I thought we dropped a lot of balls yesterday i don't think Malcolm Williams really impressed me. I thought the only consistent receiver that was making plays was kirkendoll. If I was a texas recever going into film today I would make sure that my reciever group would take blame for Garret Gilbert 3 interceptions. overall good day for the horns defense

@HornsTD You gotta blame the right tackle for two of the interceptions. As for receivers dropping balls, they are continuing to under-perform, which cost them the NCG. The talent is there, they just need to bring it together or it is going to be a rough October for the offense.

Were going to find out what Texas is the next 3 weeks. UCLA, OU, and at Nebraska. I mean those drops and penalties WILL obviously kill you. Just ask the Cowboys. Still there is no running game. Yes, they will get 5 to 6 yard gains, but they really don't have much of anything when it comes to a running game. I mean Colt McCoy and Jordan Shipley plus the defense carried that team last year. I mean to be the best every facet of the game has to be great.

I mean Texas has a great defense and that is going to keep this team afloat is the defense. NU has played alot of Fresham and Sophomore and unexp Juniors and Sr's. UT and OU hasn't. All of those INT was not GB fault, they were tipped passes. I can't wait for NU to see how hard it is to rebuild your team.Then they will see why UT and OU's games were so close. HOOK EM!!~!

Texas barely pulled it out because Nebraska's offense was so bad. Nebraska has an excellent defense. You know what happened last UT play at Nebraska. They barely pulled it out due to a Nebraska fumble. and UT had make a td at the last minute. Nebraska is no slouch.

I think this game proved that we have one of the best secondary in the nation. Its not easy holding Tech to under 150 yards and only one TD. Im just glad this game is behind us, so we can concentrat on what games are really going to test this Texas team. But they cant overlook UCLA, they're coming off a good win over Houston.

whats up with Tech punting on 4th and 12 with 100 seconds left and only one time out? They committed suicide by doing so and Tech is a complete joke for having an idiot as head coach. They punted and stopped Texas to a three and out and could not get the ball back because the clock ran out. At least they had a chance by going for it. It was a majorly tiny one, but it was better than punting.

2007- they had 2 road losses

The D looked pretty good for UT and played well.However the offense "not so much".Why isn't Malcolm getting the ball? Why can't we run? The O line is giving Garret plenty of time to make a play.So why can't UT get their Offense firing on all cylinders? UCLA is next...And when it's time to play OU and NU then what? i really think that tech's offense isn't as good as it has been in the 10 years under mike leach. having said that, the defense/scott smith kept us in that game, 150 offensive yards is absolutely horrible. thank gosh we have a bye week

That silent treatment really made it an awkward place to play on defense. It kind of just took all the energy out of the building. And players thrive on that energy.
Is it possible that we were STILL holding back in order to not show anything? Because after those interceptions, we started playing real conservative. And Garrett Gilbert never got flustered at all. He was almost too calm and nonchalant when I thought he should be pressing the panic button more. Oh well, we won and OU struggled too

Hey decent video.. but a little vindictive towards the red raiders I think. Our D played their hearts out tonight and with a little help from you guys (or alot if ya look at it) we kept it close. People are hating on Potts b/c Sticks has played exceptional each time he went in last year. Yea... TTuber knows best... but given Potts injured hand and lackluster performance.. people wanted to see how sticks would play. That is a FAIR complaint that any fan base would have. Ugly Ugly game.

Tech student here; It was a great game, but good lord penalties galore! That Texas secondary was all over those receivers. I don't think I saw more than 6 plays where the receivers were actually open.
Texas' offense is what will hinder them this season, but everyone knows that. Watch out for Nebraska!
As for the Tech fans, i'm a student and I am never going to another Texas game. I cannot stand how a lot of those kids just make jerks out of themselves. Good lord kids calm down and grow up!
