Hey foberton. Yeah he's still young at 25 but he was waived because of his lousy work ethic. He wasn't in shape coming into the season and because of this injured his groin and missed the majority of the season. He's talented offensively but thats it really. Backchecking and overall dfense is lousy and he's soft. He may do well in van though who knows if used properly and he gets his act together and picks up some weights for once.

yea he was a great player during his rookie season, just started declining from there. had only 21 points in 60 games this past season. also he gets injured for about a major part of the season every year. with the new leaf management they wanted to change things up a bit and wellwood was just another small guy that got knocked off the puck easily. He is a great hockey player but i guess the new management wanted a change. The funny this is he is probably going to do great in Vancouver.
