oh yes, the author's hypocrisy ...cause there is no way Super 8 has explosions and some supernatural alien-like character(s)...oh no.... the concept is sooo original :) he probably just wet himself cause they didn't show the creature in the trailer - cause if they did...the whole magic and that delusional depth of the movie would be long gone :)

I don't really care what does and what doesn't "do" for you. The fact is Super 8 fits perfectly into the category of "movies that look exactly the same". True...it might be fun to watch it, but trying to add a deeper meaning to a typical blockbuster is just silly. I could say that upcomming Hanna with Saoirse Ronan is somewhat a younger version of Salt... but so what ? I think Source Code might also be a good flick with a concept that hasn't been exploited at this angle. pt.2

Hal wakes up with some nameless blonde (Tony stark does this in the iron man movie), he has sly dialogue with female co-worker (too similar with pepper potts), an event happens that changes his life. he gets a suit and has to mature during the possess. The Villian wants Hals Power (Iron Monger in iron man)

so you could have said that you look forward to Super 8 cause it looks interresting in your opinion, but saying that it's different from the others is called hypocrisy, that's all I wanted to say cause I couldn't care less if those movies all look the same, I'm gonna have a blast watching Hangover 2 as much as other big budget popcorn flicks cause that's the whole idea :)
