I signed up for the beta on the 360 and got the 360 beta its really cool you can take a sledge hammer and bash a base into the ground which i do its really fun.you cna get the beta at fileplanet.
actually they made it a third person shooter so they could add a guerrilla style combat system similar to gears of war, the graphics look a bit disappointing but i still have high hopes

Good god, I used to be a hardcore fan, now they turned it to shit. RF was a.w.e.s.o.m.e, RF2 was kinda sucky (but kept me hoping they could do better turn 3), and this is way sucky - they lost me for good this time.
I don't want another mainstream game for idiots, like the HALO series, GTA 3/4 or Mass Effect, I want something as deep and story-driven as RF tried to be, and Morrowind (different genre, same feeling) was.

OMG..! Deep and story driven. Halo is one of the best story driven games ever made. I'm not saying it's the best game ever made but the story of master chief before he was master chief is nothing short of amazing. Have you really been playing the latest video games or are you stuck in the last gen. One thing we should agree on is that Valve kicks ass at making FPS! Half Life 1 and 2 are just amazing.

i agree that the halo series is overhyped and that mass effect was excellent; but halo's story is actually good, it's just not presented well in the game itself. if you have ever read the novels, you actually find out how much better the story is. however, the game doesn't deliver that same story well at all. as a matter of fact, it's disappointing. halo 1 ruled the first time i played it, halo 2's campaign was OK and the online was sweet, halo 3 was lame and i didn't even finish it.
There is a gameplay video on IGN. Well its actualy talking to the develepors, but the majority of the Video shows gameplay. Looks pretty good.
P.S. I dont get why some of you guys are so caught up in the fact its not a first person shooter. Thats kinda lame, though im not saying i dont like FPS.
P.P.S. The develepors said they used third person so you can see the worlds destruction better.
@ the last guy: Don't forget that terrain will probably be destroyable as well, and the destruction is supposed to be entirely unscripted. Don't forget the physics as well, destruction is affected by that too. Buildings will fall if you destroy the supports. This game looks like it'll OWN! BTW, everyone, it's Ps3, 360, and PC.
First to comment on Cheecky: Just because they made it on a console doesn't mean they are going to continue it on the next gen console as well. Look at Battlefield Bad Company...why was the PC version canceled :(

Second, going from FPS to TPS was a big move. A lot of fans are going to be dissapointed, but you guys must remember that this game has a lot more to offer than just the point of view...all buildings are completely distructible to the last slab of concrete. Amazing right?

But if they did, they would probably only add last gen first person, where as for example you wouldn't see the characters hands in animations like vaulting over things, climbing and they'd be no visible feet and so forth. However there aren't alot of open world 3rd person shooters, however they can be done well, look at farcry 2. That looks excellent.
Red faction 2 came out for Sony Playstation 2 so red faction 3 will also come out for PS3. Thats how i compare between Red faction and Killzone. Besides, both of these games are FPS so thats a comparison. And im not a PS3 fanboy. I have a 360 and a PS3.

but I read a bit of an interview and they said they were going back to the roots of the first Red Faction so I guess there's hope.
i'm so glad there is going to be a third one. i remember i had an assload of fun from rf2, blowing up holes in the wall and everything. this is going to be great.

I was heart broken when I heard that "Red Faction: Guerilla" was no longer going to be a FPS but a 3rd person :(
I was hoping they would make up for Red faction 2 with a rip roaring brutal Red Faction 3 in FPS.

Red Faction 3 is NOT an FPS
FPS==> First Person Shooter
Red Faction 3 is a TPS ==> Third Person Shooter.
That changes a lot of things to the gameplay.
+ Red Faction3 will be a non-linear game(don't know if Im saying it right). So you can choose what you want to do at any time.
Killzone 2 is a linear game. You get a mission and you must complete this mission to go to the next level.
Comparing Killzone2 with RF3 is like comparing Gears Of War with Far cry. Both shooters but yet so different.
