No. If the shot is blocked and the ball doesn't come out of the offensive players hands it's a jump ball because although he went up and down with it, he was being impeded by another player. I think it's kind of a benefit of the doubt kind of thing, but I couldn't honestly tell you why it's that way. But that is how they usually call it.

Body contact like that usually doesn't count as a foul, especially if you block the shot. It's kind of looked at as mutual contact and as long as you get more contact on the ball then the upper body ( shoulders, arms, head and neck) or legs it's usually considered clean.

This was a foul. Ben is all over Shaq's body. The block is clean but there is alot of body contact.

What I wanna see, and what everyone seems to have forgotten about, is the AMAZING BLOCK the Ben put on Shaq in the 2004 NBA Finals. Now that was block. A complete stuff job and it was 100% clean.

I remember at the end of that game Shaq was calling foul also. In this case he's right but back then he was just being a sore loser.
