I own 3 dogs that get rough and actually gang up on other dogs at the park; a fair few confrontations have taught me exactly how to restrain a 90lb dog. Use of a firearm is the absolute last course of action. Nothing short of this guy losing his job is acceptable, he doesn't deserve the honor of saying he's a cop. While it did startle me, I did NOT draw my pistol because I could see that the dogs were not going to kill each other. So if a normal civilian like me can exercise restraint with a gun, the cop should too.
