why would you risk a microburst? showing off to passengers in the plane or something? i really hope your never in command of an aircraft that any one of your passengers has paid to be in. I mean it was a great landing to watch n well done! nothing went wrong...... this time.
wow it amazes me how little people actually understand microbursts. micro bursts take down airliners and not small GA aircraft because of one difference, THEY WEIGH MORE. a small plane like a 310 could easily use the climb portion of a microburst to power up and go around, without any problems, i am so sick of hearing from everyone about how dangerous thunderstorms are everytime you fly through one, once you fly through one once you will realize there is a giant foot in your mouth
You are one of those retards that will end up dead just because you have made it through a Thunder storm in the past, not every storm is going to bring you down. Getting comfortable going through them will!!
I really hope you dont't have any sort of pilot's license. Your statements make you look like such an idiot its actually kinda funny. What you dont understand is that the turbulence inside a mature thunderstorm is so great, it can snap the wings off a commercial airliner like a toothpick. Just look at the Airbus crash a while back in the south atlantic. Flying in the weather is one thing. Flying through an actual cell is a deadly mistake.
Ok, first off, im glad you at leats put your ratings at the end so i know im not waisting my time. Second, I may not have a type rating but I can put money that I have been through more thunderstorms in the past 18 years then most pilots after a career. And yes i have been bounced around like a ragdoll, Ive even seen a 6000fpm VSI peg from the top to the bottom. and i have still come out clean on the other side
@LoutheStew45 you're joking right? If flying through thunderstorms is such a breeze then why are most aircraft fitted with storm scopes? Penetrating a severe to extreme section of a thunderstorm can have devastating consequences. I guess you enjoy seeing your VSI pegged but the majority of us safe pilots will deviate to save the aircraft some stress along with out paying customers.
@LoutheStew45 When did MS flight simulator start issuing ratings? You claim to have seen 6000fpm on a VSI, but no type rating (meaning no heavies, no military) and came out "clean" on the other side? Only way you can do all that is to keep hitting the "reset" button on your little computer keyboard.
@LoutheStew45 You are a failure of a pilot. The fact you have been through more thunderstorms than most pilots confirms this. Good pilots avoid thunderstorms.
@LoutheStew45 You.... are a fucking idiot... Like others have said to you, you are everything a real pilot is not, i've only been flying for 3 years, and i can tell you that you are retarded..... Thunderstorms are nothing to brag about flying through, it could tear the wings off any plane if it's severe enough. Happens in the places you least expect it, you'll learn that someday.... Since you want to brag about your ratings, here:
Im a CFII with 4000 hours of single/multiengine time and I own a 76 Baron B55. I have done much more than that and I have been from Bahamas to Vancouver BC,
I put my flying credentials public on this forum... vs you are some type of random wanna-be flying... the closest you ever got near a plane is when you stole that Plane Magazine from the neighbors mailbox... ha ha,
well you sir havent seen many landings then LOL. really, the air wasnt that bad during that landing. I should film tyring to put my c150 down with gusty winds in the afternoon with all those thermals.
hey ive seen more than enough landings i fly planes too lol however i wasn't reffering to the conditions of his landing i was just saying it was neat and he did a good job i really couldn't be interested in the wind to be perfectly honest and i would like to see you land your c150 i think you would initiate a good landing
Yea i can initiate a good landing, which ends up in an arrival! thats in bad conditions though, if winds are anything less then 25 with gusts, moderate thermal / wind draft activity, its will be a decent touchdown. Its those hot and windy summer days with weird tree lines and lakes that make for a rollercoaster ride.
Excellent !

@LoutheStew45 Like they say, when you fly into a red cell, you normally exit out of the bottom, rather than out the other side.

nice landing...i'd say you had to use the rudder a few times. heh heh

not a big deal..

Heh....try it sometime.
He put that aircraft on the numbers and on the centerline in weather that makes any landing a potential nighmare.
Like I said "Just Try It Sometime"

It was a good landing in adverse conditions ... if you take that so lightly, as your comment suggests, please don't ask me to fly with you .

Probably better than I could have done under the circumstances.
310s have a relatively high wing loading. That kind of weather would have tossed my 182 all over the sky.
What were your flap settings?
Did that storm off to the right of the screen pass over you after landing?
Did you ever think about aborting the landing?
I wish I could have seen your Artificial Horizon during that landing.
Anyway:
I lived in Oklahoma and Have seen plenty of that sort of weather.
Good job.
