You just need to go on the x-plane official site, download section and search for updater. Download and open the program, now just follow instructions.

Really nice work with respect to editing, camera placement and selection, pace, etc. Personally, I prefer the period music in that it goes better with the vintage planes. The more contemporary music takes me out of the period piece but that's just a personal choice. Otherwise, excellent work.

Yes you can fire weapons, just select an aircraft that has weapon, arm them, select the weapon you want and fire it

Xplane 9 isn't required for fireing weapon

Thanks for that mate. What about the damamge models and the dogfight AI? i'm guessing that that's just you vs another player and just pretty graphics as opposed to say a combat sim. Is that so?

hey guys is there a reason why x-plane 9 "slows down" in some areas? like ill be flying and the game pace will be moving extremely slow and then all of the sudden it will move extremely fast. is there a reason for this? i have number of objects set to mega tons and roads set to none. everything else is set to default. running at 4x AA and 1920-1080 res.

Seriously. What's your FPS? Turn on the FPS indicator (activate it in the Input/Output menu item) and check what FPS you're on. I'm running an OLD iMac G5 (2Ghz, 2GB RAM, 1680x1050fullscreen res 128MB ATI Radeon 9600) and I average about 30FPS.

Check your minimum FPS in the settings (set it to 40) or set it higher since you have a faster computer.

You SHOULD be getting better performance than me!!

Depens on what plane you're flying. Good luck getting the answer. I'm having the same problem looking for info on lighting up a 747. I THINK you go through the engines, several steps, one engine at a time, rather than several steps and all engines at the same time. I'm probably wrong.

Easiest way is to set X-Plane to start with engines already running. But where's the fun in that??

I too recommend CH Products, but if you JUST get the CH Flight Stick you WON'T have rudder control. To do that you'll need a set of rudder peddles.

If the cost is too much to afford a full set up of CH stick and peddles, then Saitek does a decent job.

I recommend CH over Saitek, but it is a more costly investment to get the basics. If this is a serious hobby for you go the CH route with the Fighterstick, Throttle, and Pro Peddles. If not an X 52 for about a $100 is fine.

no but you can dogfight, get in a fighter aircraft, turn the master arm to the weapon of your choice, if you're using a joystick go to settings/joystick and equipment/buttons (basic) then click the joystick button you want for firing your weapon and select the action on the list. if you don't have a joystick just click the spacebar (once you have the masterarm on.) then I'd reccomend going to aircraft/load situation/formation (or whatever it is)

x planes 9 is a simulation. it shouldn't even be considered a game. I believe it was Boeing who used it to test out one of their new aircraft. if you want a combat game go Janes combat simulations. this is for people who actually want to know what it feels like to fly

X-wing. X-traffic has "jittering" when you get close to the other aircraft.

Aha, I see now. By the way, I'm Topper from the org. You've used extreme lag on Xwing and slow-mo in Vegas I think. You've also made use of the formation or refueling plane in X-Plane. Really makes it look real! I've talked to Sandy about the XTraffic jitteriness, he says he'll fix that some day. Your videos are great, you have the best eye for this.
