I like shawm because i live where she was born i am proud that our hec towmn and May City iowa was on tv that is so awesome and i hope all the people that like shawn that they r jelous that the really dont live in may city. Don't think so. She seems very determined, and getting this 'unexpected boost' into the top three of NS has most likely whet her appetite for success. Plus i just read in an interview that JS told her to phone him AFTER the show was over = he will give her some useful contacts to help her on her way. Right now she needs a GREAT MANAGER - like, ASAP!!! - to plan a specific strategy for her career over the next 24 months or so, building on the platform NS has given her. Best of luck to Shawn!!

Yeah y'can...and...so what??! O yeah - i'm a chick, so it doesn't affect me in the same way...apparently - LOL!!

...but getting back to the MUSIC - yes she's very comfortable in that bluesy/ballsy vein...but she needs a little more time to polish her performances PLUS personally, i am SO much more interested in hearing her sing her OWN stuff=songs!!! Bring it on, Shawn...black underwear an' all, it's All Good by me!

...even tho' Shawn was my pers. fave (+ a soft spot 4 Pearl Heart, Ashlee, & - yes! - the much-maligned but soon-2-prove-'em-all-wrong Coffey!!), i don't think it's 'bad' that she didn't win...b/c she's so young, & needs a bit of time 2 evolve & develop as an Artiste, OUT of the full-on glare of the major label spotlight, y'know? Melissa is SO ready for THAT; Shawn is more sensitive, & isn't...if she builds her career more 'grassroots' style, she could be the next Shania in a few years; yay!!!
