  • Sorry, this isn't completely true, but however its complicated and I don't have the energy to explain fully. Sorry, but I wish to end this now.

  • P.S. If one mind is lost to this slavery, the price is too high. This is slavery of the worst kind, the stripping of hearts and minds. Take is from someone who has had their right to even think for himself taken away. This is torture, turning you into a shell of a person, without your humanity (sexuality, eroticism, sensuality).

  • @GFMarshallx1 "If one mind is lost to this slavery, the price is too high"

Here we agree, but likely disagree as to what *real* slavery looks like:

Real slavery is when someone is lost in sin.

Real slavery is when pride and self-gratification are chosen over God's wisdom and design.

Real slavery is when someone blindly accepts the world's twisted definition of what sex is and what it is for.

Real slavery is when someone uses their body in a way that is divorced from real, authentic love.

  • @ThisRestlessPilgrim What you are spewing out is malicious falsehoods which seeks to make lies true. It is no different than the malicious Big Brother saying WAR against free choice IS PEACE, FREEDOM to live your life the way you wish IS SLAVERY, and IGNORANCE of the glorious humanity IS STRENGTH. Only if you are evolved enough will you know which one of Orwell's epic and sublime books this was from.

  • @GFMarshallx1 I read 1984 in high school, thanks.

The problem is that you place liberty everything else. The question of God, right and wrong don't enter into the question. Turn on the news and see what people do with their liberty...

  • @ThisRestlessPilgrim What you see on the news is the use of ones liberty to violate another person's liberty. Rape, Murder, larceny, extortion, exploitation is inherently wrong because of this. If EVERY SINGLE human being's freedom and human rights (liberty and justice respectively) is respected than only what is truly wrong will be rightly prohibited. NOT fully consensual sex between parties who are of age to make that decision for him or herself.

  • @ThisRestlessPilgrim again WAR IS PEACE, FREEDOM IS SLAVERY, and IGNORANCE IS STRENGTH, know where this is from?

  • As a former Catholic, be warned! These people and the Church are feeding lies to suit their agenda of blind obedience and tyrannical rule of our minds and hearts. Stripping us of our humanity by emasculating/defeminsing us by demonizing natural and healthy eroticism and sensuality, then infantalizing us just like the jealous pedophile caregiver so that so to render us glorified slaves to their whims, idealogues, and personalities-

  • all in the name of power over our minds that they have no rightful claim to. Fight back, rebel and resist. This is not a joke or a rant, its a clear and present danger, a threat to our humanity, liberty and justice.

  • @GFMarshallx1 Citing Hitler already...eek...

I find it odd that you describe yourself as a Catholic yet appear to deny that the Catholic Church has any authority to preach on faith on morals. Sounds a bit like you describing yourself as a meat-eating vegetarian. I wonder then, what authority you *would* accept. Scripture? Tradition? Natural Law?

Perhaps as well as commenting on videos, you might watch them and see if there is, in fact, a strong case for the virtue of chastity and pure love...

  • @GFMarshallx1 I'm afraid "liberty" and "justice" are not authorities, they are ideals, but even what these words mean depends upon your point of view. For example, these terms are used by pro-life and pro-abortion supporters, but mean *very different* things to each...

You say you love the Catholic God, but who is that? The one proclaimed by the Church, preserved in Tradition and revealed in the Bible? How is it that you know about this God?

  • Comment removed

  • @GFMarshallx1 I'm glad you agree now that they're not authorities, but you didn't answer my question - who is this God that you speak of? How do you know anything about Him?

  • @GFMarshallx1 No answer to my question? You identify yourself as a Catholic and a worshiper of the Catholic God - Who is this God that you speak of and how do you know anything about Him?

  • @GFMarshallx1 "I could go on forever, but won't" Go on? All I did was ask you on what basis you identify yourself as "Catholic" since you appear reject that the Church has any authority - something which is *definitional* for Catholicism! I stand by my original comment - it's like calling yourself a vegetarian meat-eater! It is a contradiction in terms. At the *very least* you should call yourself a Protestant since you reject the authority of the Church.

  • @GFMarshallx1 "... I credit the Church...[is] a way to the Catholic God and to worship him...I am against is the Church interpreting the bible their way"

You don't see the inconsistency here? You appear to support the idea that the Church has safeguarded the Deposit of Faith of Scripture and Tradition for 2,000 years, yet you reject the Church's authority to teach correctly! On what do you base this assumption? Your own opinion? What makes you think that you can interpret Scripture better?

  • Comment removed

  • @GFMarshallx1 "Based again on Freedom tempered with Human rights"

....and your own opinion trumps Scripture, Tradition and the Magesterium why exactly?

Again, if your own opinion should be accepted over that of ALL the accepted sources of authority in Catholicism and Christianity, how can you possibly claim membership?

It's like having a Buddhist who doesn't believe in reincarnation, a Muslim who believes in polytheism, an atheist who believes in God....

  • @GFMarshallx1 The reason why this matters is that, in defense of chastity I would cite Scripture, the Early Church Fathers, Councils, Catechism etc. but that would be pointless if you don't accept them as authoritative. As far as I can see, the only authority you accept is your own opinion which is based upon presuppositions. That doesn't give me much room to work with....

I can demonstrate the inconsistency of your position if you answer the question: "Is God is a Trinity? How do you know?"

  • @GFMarshallx1 Lastly, Sacred Scripture clearly speaks to sexual purity (e.g. Eph 5:3). A Christian is someone who recognises the Bible to be the Word of God and submits to its teaching on faith an morals. Yet, since you place your own opinion about "freedom" above the Word of God, why would you even regard yourself as a "Christian", let alone a "Catholic"?

  • As a lifelong Catholic, the Church authority and its lackeys are no better than the subculture forces they are fighting against. No outside force should ever have the authority to restrict or force any part of our nature into imaginary moral absolutes (Church) or stereotypical subculture forces nor issue any judgement/pontification/coercion because we are people, not binary code...

  • Whoever chooses to be more/less mature and wish to be more/less 'chaste', more/less heterosexual, more/less free, more/less monogamous, more/less gender stereotypical should be free to be who they want to be. Sexuality is one of the best of several key parts of human nature. All people should be free discover/develop themselves in that way freely. The only limit to this freedom is should be the preservation of another person's freedom and the presence of a person's ability to consent...

  • Any kind of exploitation of another person against his or her wishes/will/consent or of one who is too immature to give consent in the first place is a violation of his or her human right to freedom of choice for herself and therefore is inherently WRONG. Human rights, not arbitrary oligarchy whims, are the guiding light for true freedom… BOTH sides are trying to scare and bully all its folowers into being unenlightened, stripping us of our individuality in the name of influence and power…

  • Control behaviour, especially raw nature, and control the person. Both sides wish for us to be obedient children or dumb sheep, with the only difference being that the Church has the audacity to openly and proudly embed this as their mission.should be that simple. Being sheep is the greatest villian to the spirit and freedom, which must be retained at all costs. Do good, but love God, not the Church.
