  • my 96 powerstroke is pushing 25 psi. you should go check out my vid

  • yes all the 94.5-97 power jokes dont have waste gates

  • my brother in law has a 99 f350 7.3l power stroke with a superchip which gives it an additional 100hp... not kidding, that thing is a tank and i LOVE it to death

  • Would you please make a video on how you installed your gauges? I have a 1997 f250 and all I can find is how to install them on Super Dutys from 99'-03'. Thanks!

  • pre 99 powerstrokes are non intercooled and are nonwastegated.

  • @THELOINCOLLECTOR603 it will have a standard plum back waste gate hooked up to the actuator, boost regulator

  • LowDexPro... What do you have done to your engine to make that kinda power? You should be running at least 1400 ftlbs, whats the deal with that?

  • i was wonderin what chip to buy for mine....whats a good one with alot of hp to help me pull some bigger shit and take it throug the mud a little better. and how much would the run??

  • @crzyFa5t i want to know also please message me

  • Are you running stock non-gated turbo?

  • i got them same gauges

  • Haha AWESOME dude! NICE setup...you really wanna try sumthin though...take off those 36's and put on some 32's or 33's...you wil fukin COOK! haha that is if your tires can get traction...but gearing and tire size has like EVERYTHING to do with speed!

  • Gotta love the sound of those tires in the backround

  • can i please have 48 seconds of my life back

  • Why dont you get off youtube and go back to jacking off.

Nobody cares that this doesnt interest you.

  • Your idi may because don't know anything about them, all the psd has is a flapper, ebpv, on the exhaust side of the turbo which helps increase warm up time in the winter.

  • love the way the turbo sounds, gr8 vid bud

  • how ya get 25 psi? i can only get 15 outta my 96 an its got the 1.0 turbine housing among other goodies.

  • the 1.0 housing is for quicker spooling not higher boost. it is smaller than the stock housing

  • he's got a tune, and an intake. the 1.0 housing will speed up spooling but will not increase overall boost in most cases. an intake, exhaust and chip will get you to 18-19 if your truck was made for the 49 states, or 27-30 if it's a california truck.

  • All powerstrokes have wastegates. If they did not your exhaust temp would rise with stock exhaust and damage the engine. I dont feel like explaining the the wastegate by-pass system right now so go look it up. Wastegate NOT a BOV or recirculation valve.

  • LMAO

Why don't you go look it up? 94-97 were non-wastegated.

Early 99-2003 7.3L had the internal wastegate.

6.0L is a Variable Geometry Turbo, no gates external or internal on there either.

    6.4L, nope.

  • if its true they were non waste gated, where did the air go? did they just "turbo cough" and it ate it backwards? that surely cant be good for the turbo

  • Funny i have a 2002 and a 96. Both are wastegated.You lose.

  • 96 isent stock if its wastegated. My 96 has the stock turbo and is is not equiped with one. I dont think the turbo makes enough boost to even hurt it when you let off the throttle.

  • thats probably not the wastegate your seeing, its the exhaust backpressure valve

  • 94-97 are definitely not wastegated. we got 3 stock OBS powerstroke turbos sittin on the shelf at the shop if you wanna see. there is also a 2000 psd turbo with the stock wastegate. sorry terpreg, but your wrong.. LoL

  • why don't you take a picture of the 96's wastegate so me, and the others who know obs's can tell you how wrong you are.

  • NO! 94 through 97 do not have wastegates!

  • my 94 turbo IDI has a wastegate. its a garrett turbo, same one as on the 95 psd, and it is wastegated

  • us original powerstrokes dont have wastegates

  • have you disconnected your wastegate?

If so, then your boost gauge line is probably hooked up to the "red line". IF its connected to the red line the computer can still dump pressure from the line, because it thinks its controlling the wastegate. The computer can open and close the controll valve many times a second. causing the jumping in your gauge... Or its overspooling.lol

  • Not overspooling, I have a kink/crack in the tube that connects to the MAP sensor for the Boost gauge and it causes the needle to jump around.

  • Do you have a stock turbo. I have a bully dog 6 position chip in mind and when I put it on 50 more horses, my turbo max at 20psi.

  • @TheCrwilliams it really depends on ur set-up, when i got a tc 6-pos chip and when i set it at 120+hp i got 27lbs of boost b4 i put the new turbo on. now i get 42 :)

  • @LowDexPro What year is your truck? I have a 97.

  • @TheCrwilliams i got an 01 F250 Ext cab long box. 756hp at the wheels and 1143 ft lbs of torque

  • @F350turboDIEZEL u should fix that hahaha

  • @terpreg 97 doesn['t have a wastegate
