Dont get me wrong i love EastEnders but compared to Waterloo Road its like watching the news, Every episode its the same thing but waterloo had more drama, better storys, better cliff hangers and bring more atention WOO WATERLOOROAD!
If you do that to your children then you should have the legal right to disown you. A parent, no matter what their personal feelings or beliefs, should never impose their ideals or morality on their children. Its pathetic and disgusting!
@prettybabycatty1109 But at the end of the day I think it's always gonna depend on ur upbringing & dunt forget thy being gay just started getting accepted in society so ppl who r in their 20s now had parents who fully excepted them to be straight and yes I understand that rejection feels horrible especially by a prent but u still have to give them time cuz sumtimes
@prettybabycatty1109 I didn't mean that there was somthing wrong with it Im just uncomfortable with parents who encourage their kids to have sex cuz regardless of sexuality there are dire consequences for underage sex! I wouldn't say that parents who don't encourage sex are close minded I think they just understand that sex isn't always a good thing especially when ur underage.
I hate it soooo much when tv shows have teenagers struggling with their sexuality for years and then when they come out they expect their parents to just go with the flow without letting them adjust!
And who encourages their kid to have sex? Regardless of sexuality!
@hsmrmae I don't think he was 'encouraging' it but a lot of parents think that if their children are in a comitted relationship then sex is probably gonna happen anyway, may as well talk about it and get it out in the open than have it being this big secret that stands in the way of parents and their children. Plus, I think these two are both of age so there isn't really anything stopping them.
@hsmrmae Well, there is nothing wrong with one's sexual orientation. It's something we have to change the society's perspective on that. Parents should not have to adjust to their kids coming out. It should flow seamlessly.
And, who encourages their kids to have sex? Open-minded ones, for example, my mom.
My opinion is that Josh and Nate are both gorgeous. They should put them in another storyline, at least make them kiss! They both go so nicely together, it's a shame we don't get to see more of them. A match made from waterloo road everyone. It's shocking though, really shocking!
@axelnelson I wouldn't say it's normal, my parents don't even want me to be having sex at all at my age (I'm 17) but I've already done it in my house when they were away ;)
I feel I must question the wisdom of any parent letting their 15-16 yearold child, gay or straight , have their boyfriend or girlfriend spend the night while they go out for the night with their child's teacher. I just don't think any child is ready at the age of 15 or sixteen to have a sexual realtionship plus I think Josh's dad gave in more to keep the peace and it was easier then sitting down and having an akward conversation about sex.
@shyathena34 I disagree. Those teenage years are a chance to explore your sexuality, find out who you are and get a sense of self. As long as its done safely I don't see the harm in it. Its all part of the development from being a child to becoming an adult in my opinion.
It's to bad that Nate's Father lost a son and Nate a brother in the war in Afghanistan but being a bully to your own son by not accepting that he's gay is just as bad as the homophobes who can't stand anyone who is different then themselves! Nate and Josh are gay and gay bashing their love will not bring back Nate's brother nor make up for the loss of his first born son! Nate's Father should love him no matter what, just like Josh's Father love's him! Great Story!
TinyB - I believe Josh & Nate are in year 11, making them 15 or 16. The age of consent (gay or straight) is 16, so they may not be 'underage'. Although many parents would not be as liberal as Tom, an increasing number are, or simply 'turn a blind eye'. We have transformed pretty rapidly in the UK from a rather conservative country to a fairly liberal one, for better or for worse.

American here. In the UK, is it standard operating procedure for underage straight kids to be allowed to spend the night with their girl/boyfriend with parental approval? Granted I was a teen in the 90s, but that's fairly unheard of where I'm from (and my community isn't particularly conservative).
I can't believe the way these kids are allowed to speak to the adults in their lives....I'm 21 and I still can't or wouldn't want to even talk to my parents or anyone else in such a disgusting manner...They don't even seen to understand the concept of simple respect for other people, Josh's dad seems almost afraid to speak his mind!
@goodgirlkay I completely agree! If I ever spoke to my father like that -well I would never speak to my father or anyone so disrespectfully. Josh's dad loves him maybe Josh should give him sometime to get used to things.
Nate's telling him about his brother's death, he even cries, and all Josh cares about is that Nate didn't tell him before? Of course he cares. But they just sit next to each other. No hug, no holding hands, nothing. The weird thing here is that it's done on purpose. Tease a kiss, interrupt, tease a kiss, interrupt, break them up, bring them together, tease a kiss, interrupt, break them apart. Also boyfriends, especially teenagers, talk about such things as like, "Does your family know?"...
Thank you, thank you, thank you for uploading! :) I just wish, they would have kissed. :') But, I'm looking positiv, that Nate's Dad gonna accept it someday. I mean, Josh and Nate are just too cute, you can't find them bad! ^^
So, at least, and again, I CAN'T wait to see something new of them. ;)
again, josh is way to good for nate

is it nomal in England for parents to encourage their children to have sex in their own homes? In the US, we have to sneak around, gay or straight.

"I do understand the offside rule". Ooh, that's straight out of the news files, eh?
"He's been acting moody". Oh, come on, he's a teenager.
Tom had no reason to "calm down", his anger was totally justified.
Who played Nate's father? I've seen him on SOMETHING. I think it was "Law & Order UK", but I'm not sure.

This is the best storyline among all the soaps on this channel.
All the other storylines are either nonsense or about rather pathetic characters.
Love these two kids.
